Shula's walk-in or same day ADR?

On our next trip I would really like an adult only meal one night.

My kids will be 15 and 9 and have no issue leaving them in the room together. My kids like to chill out and have leisure time and they are okay with me going out for one night without them....even if we're in WDW.

Thing is I don't know what night would work best. I'm really hoping to wing it and just pick the best night once we are down there.

How hard is it to get a same day ADR or a walk in?

Generally you would be just fine walking in the only thing that might make a little wait is if there is a large conference going on... however with just 2 people I think you would be just fine walking up and having no wait 90% of the time

BTW great choice I think Shula's is very good!

I've always had good luck doing this at any of the Swan/Dolphin restaurants. I would recommend that you call Shulas directly rather than going through Disney Dining if you are going to do same day. I've had it happen where Disney gave me an ADR but when I got to the restaurant, they didn't have it since they aren't linked up to the ADR system.

Thanks!

I usually am fine with ADR's but with two kids out of their element (vacation, hotel room) I don't want to set anything in stone for a date night. They are usually pretty good and stay home alone often but at times they bicker or DD can irritate DS. I don't want to leave them alone if they are bickering and arguing....in a hotel room alone.
