Question Payment for Cinderella Royal table Breakfast?

I am a little confused about how this is booked now..I know if I rent DVC and try and book the breakfast I have to pay in full at the time of booking? Correct?

So I believe the agent told me if I book a package through Disney then I do not have to pay in full at the time of booking and that I can just reserve it with my credit card and a deposit? Does anyone know if this is correct.

I know if you have the dining plan you do not have to pay anything, but we do not plan to have the dining plan for this trip in November.

I can book the breakfast starting in May and I plan to book our package coming up very soon.

This dang breakfast is so expensive now, but we have not done it since DD was 7 and so we have want to celebrate her Sweet 16 there this year!!

Thanks for any info from those that have booked lately.....

Yes, CRT is a pre-paid meal and requires full payment upon booking for everyone on the reservation, unless you are using the DDP.

A resort package (room + tickets) will require a deposit of $200, with the balance due 45 days prior to arrival .

What you were told is incorrect. The only way you don't have to pay in full at booking is if you have a linked reservation that has a dining plan added at the time of booking.

Not if you have any package. Only if you have a package with dining plan.

You could book the package with dining plan, make the reservation, then cancel the dining plan. just make sure you do that before 45 days out. You'd be charged the $50 change fee on a package if you remove the dining plan within 45 days of arrival.

Thank you! I knew that did not sound right and we do not plan to have the dining plan since we are doing Food and Wine at Epcot too..
Thanks so much! I will just consider it one more thing paid before we go..That is a good thing!! LOL

Disney is just getting more and more confusing!! LOL

Yeah I would not do that to my DVC friend..no worries! We are only going for 4 days so I am just going to book through Disney for this trip.

I edited because I realized you were not renting. But you could book your package with the dining plan and then cancel the plan after you have made the CRT reservation. It sounds like a pain though. And must be done outside of 45 days.

So that really works and I will not lose my dining reservation if I cancel the dining plan before the 45 days??? Hmmmm this I may think about..

This may even buy me time and then I could cancel the dining plan and then pay the CRT off at the same time as the trip is closer..

Thanks for the tip.

I usually do rent DVC, but with this whole FP+ and the Magic bands the package will just be easer! Hoping for a good discount code for Fall.

The FP+ and magic bands do not work any differently on a DVC reservation than they do on a package.

I know I just meant It would be more work to use DVC...I have to book through my Friends DVC and then buy my tickets and link them to my reservation and my Disney experience and then do my bookings for FP+ that way...I know it can be done....

I was just going to take the easy route and book a Disney package this time and then it is all grouped together for me from the get go.... Plus we have been wanting to try one of the Royal rooms at Riverside....

We usually stay at AKV with DVC. Love it!

We are only plan to go for 4 days and I figure Disney will put out a code for Fall.

Thank you.....

If you book a package with DDP now, you will have to put down a $200 deposit. Then, you will have to call and cancel the DDP.

If it were me, I would just pay for CRT now.

That is what I was thinking...I am booking my package soon, but the price of the dining plan is scary!!

So I will just pay for the breakfast when I book it in May and be done with it!

Thanks everyone
