From what I've heard, Tomorrowland in DL has gone through some changes that left it looking kind of crappy? If so, is it too late to restore it to a previous model? No matter how much I love Star Wars, there's no way I would be comfortable with "Tomorrowland" being forever changed into "Star Wars Land." That is too much a drastic change for a beloved, well known land of the most famous theme park in the world (speaking of both DL and the MK.)
I prefer TL at MK more than at DL. But DL's TL has made a nice recovery ever since they got the subs going again, put in BLAB, upgraded ST and Space Mtn (all since 2005).

But still the PeopleMover tracks are sitting there doing nothing and the Astro Orbiters conveniently block the entrance to TL and make it nearly impossible to move around at times.

So the word is that the Astro Orbiters are going to be taken out and moved back in TL and put up higher - all of which is a no brainer IMO and should have happened years ago. There are lots of rumors about the Nemo Sub ride being shut down permanently.

No one has talked about TL at DL becoming "Star Wars Land" other than using that phrase loosely to describe some of the rumored changes coming. It would still be TL.

I love the more open feeling of TL and MK and the overall look and feel of it.

I would also add that I much prefer DL's TL rides. Buzz is better at DL. Space Mtn is better. And they have Star Tours.

MK's TL feels better as I said. What it offers that DL does not are not the greatest things. Stitch at MK is a marginal attraction as you know. TTA is cool but old and in low demand. COP is nostalgic but also old and in low demand. The Laugh Factory is pretty fun and somewhat unique.

Don't get me wrong. I always to TTA and COP at MK - but mostly because of the nostalgia of when they were at DL's TL when I was a kiddo.

And don't forget about resting and cooling off on those attractions. TTA happens to be a family favorite because we can always get on with little or no wait, sit down and relax while touring Tomorrowland getting a breeze along the way. It really is a shame they could not keep that around in DL... the rocket ride looked pretty cool (fun) as well.

But yes, I was totally referring to the aesthetics of Tomorrowland as opposed to the content.

Yep. TTA and COP in particular are great in the afternoon to rest and cool off when it is otherwise crowded. Never a wait.

I have just returned from my latest trip to DLR and wanted to throw my own twenty cents worth into this discussion.

Visiting the park with DD, and DS having visited separately the week before ( both young adults) it was a different experience for me this time, than previously as a solo traveler( from Australia).

It was both my kids first visit to this park and their recollections have been rather illuminating to me. I am the huge Disney fan in the family so for them, they both enjoyed DCA more than the original park. There was simply more that interested them there. Also, as it rained one of the days we visited, DD and I went into innovations and thoroughly enjoyed the Marvel attractions. In fact, seeing the Iron Man exhibit and meeting Thor was the highlight of the park for her.

This alternative to the whole princess thing was the best part of the trip for both my kids and I have to say, the more Star Wars the better in both their eyes. This alone would make them get on a plane for 14 hours again to see them. Princesses ( with the exception of the Frozen girls)- not so much.

As a big Disney fan myself, I am happy to line up and ride all the 'traditional' rides but I had such a job getting my kids to do the same. Clearly, we are not locals, and my visits usually have a year or two between them, but the financial outlay is significant and I'm sure that trips in the future with my kids will be based on DCA rather than the original park. Star Wars and any Marvel superhero would definitely tip the scales back to the park I prefer to spend more time in. Win-win for us.
