Where to stay in Port Canaveral?

We are driving into Port Canaveral the night before our cruise. Where is a good place to stay? And what should we do about parking during the 4 day cruise? Thanks so much! This is our first Disney Cruise. We are very excited!

We drove as well and stayed at the Residence Inn right near the port. They even have a shuttle that you can sign up for. Think it is about $5 or so. They will pick you up after the cruise as well and bring you back to the hotel. You can leave your car at the hotel during the cruise. They give you a tag to put on your winshield. It worked out great for us!

If you have any cruise questions, please feel free to ask. We have been on 3 other Disney cruises, so maybe I can help with something. You will have a great time!

Welcome to the Disboard!!!

There are many hotels within 3-6 miles of the port. The three closest hotels are the Country Inn & Suites, The Marriott Residence Inn and the Radisson. These are all near each other and about 2-3 miles from the port. We have stayed in all of them and we prefer the MRI.

There are also many hotels right on the beach which are about 5 or so miles from port if you wanted a beach hotel. Expedia or one of the other hotel search engines should give you a good idea of what is around.

Here is a link to parking at the terminal.

http://www.portcanaveral.com/cruising/parking.php

But, for such a short cruise I would park right at the terminal solely for the convenience factor. It will cost $75 to park at the port for a 4 day cruise.

This is a list of port area hotels and the parking/shuttle amenities they offer:

http://www.parkingstay.com/p/port-ca...view-port.html

If you click on the 40% terminal box on the right of the screen, a list of hotels that offer a voucher that makes parking at the port terminal $8.99 instead of $15 per day.

Talking

This is something I've been researching and considering for the last month as we have an upcoming cruise and want to stay close by the night prior to embarkation.

We decided on the Hampton Inn with a rate of $182 after taxes, and a 40% off port parking garage voucher which will save us @$48 on our 7 night cruise parking.

I know I can get a slightly cheaper room somewhere else and park off site for less, but I will pay for the convenience of being right there when we debark. I don't want to deal with shuttles or anything.

we have stayed at both the Residence Inn and Courtyard. We were happy with both, but are partial to Marriott.

We have used Park-N-Cruise twice as we had flown in and had no time constraints. We had no issues with them, but understand some things may have changed since we used them last. People are reporting that you unload by the door and then pull your car around. This next time, we are parking at the port as we are driving and would like a fast exit.

We stayed at the Country Inn and Suites. It was great for a overnight before the cruise and very reasonably priced. We traveled as a party of 6 and the room was more than adequate for all of us. With the Stay and Cruise package parking and breakfast were included along with the shuttle to port for all of us. Both ways.

We will be doing a 4 day on the Dream in June but, would like to have a couple of days to hang at the beach. Any recommendations for hotels/resorts right on cocoa beach. Thanks ahead for any info!

Stayed at a bunch but liked the Ron Jon best. Access to the beach & very close to the port.

looking forward to our cruise in Nov. Not sure yet if we're staying a night or 2 near WDW or just driving down and staying over night near the port yet. Depends on finances.
We used park n cruise for our 4 nighter last time, last time but dh does not want to deal with the shuttle as we are doing 7 nights for 5 of us with lots of luggage!
