Best Eastern Carribean Excursions for Families.

Looking for the best Eastern Carribean (St. Martin and St. Thomas) excursions for families. We are new to cruising. We have a 7 year old daughter.

We were new to cruising last year too and have 2 girls, 6 & 3 at the time. We were on Carnival last year and Disney this year...and we did an excursion (booked through cruiseline) to Meagens Bay in St. Thomas...Disney offers this too. Beautiful beach!! After our first year cruising, we learned you can do this much cheaper on your own through taxi but to each their own. In St. Maarten we booked an excursion on our own last year through a company called Benards Travel Tours...check them out online. We went to Orient Beach and Maho Beach, very kid friendly tour, great family tour in fact and we went to an Iguana Farm and they stopped at a lookout point where a local displays sea urchins and other ocean finds....very cool! On Disney cruise this year we ventured out on our own, stayed close to the pier and took a water taxi, which is much cheaper than an excursion through ship. The water taxi just goes across the bay to a beach called Great Bay. Very nice beach and you can see the cruise ships from the beach...super close. It was $7 per person round trip and $20 for a set of beach chairs, umbrella and drinks for the day. Great beach for kids!

We're doing the Random Wind while in St. Maarten and Disney's snorkel and Trunk beach while in St. Thomas/St. John. Never done either but read good things. I have two boys 12/9.

We are doing a private tour with Bernard's in St. Maarten. For St.Thomas we did the full day sail and snorkle to Honeymoon Beach last year. Also known as Bone's ship. It was a blast, we are doing it again this year. They let the kids raise the sail, includes a decent lunch, Honeymoon beach is great.... Kids enjoyed it and so did the adults.
