We ate at Palo and LOVED it! We had a perfect table overlooking the ocean and the food was amazing. Definitely try the chicken parmesan.

Yes, definitely don't give away any hints to potential FE gifts. I wasn't aware fellow cruisers were following along. I've already decided what gifts I'll be giving for our next cruise, now to just pick the cruise we'll be taking next.

Lady and the Tramp Movie Night

In honor of Valentine's Day this month, we had a Lady and the Tramp movie night. The Quackattack Family joined us once again, and fun was had by all.

Invitation:

Decorations:

The meal was served in courses, and I was a bit remiss in taking food porn pictures. No worries, the only thing I did NOT get a picture of was the first course: Italian Style Wedding Soup. But it was tasty and looked pretty in the bowl with some fresh parmesean sprinkled on top.

Food photos will be a bit dark since we dined by candlelight.

Second course was Caesar Salad:

Third Course was Spaghetti and Meatballs:

Can you tell from the photos that I had already started eating before remembering to take a picture? Yeah...

Our activity was plaster "paw"prints. The kids made homemade plaster and did handprints. They made the biggest mess...but had lots of fun.

Gabriel just being goofy Gabe:

They used a wooden skewer to do names and designs in the plaster:

Pretty girls, sticky fingers:

I didn't get any finished product photos... I was so not good on the picture taking this night. Sorry!

But I DID get the most important photo of all! The Quackattack family made dessert, I HAD to get a picture of it before it was served, becasue it was so pretty...

Italian Cream Cake:

It was DELICIOUS!!!

Once again, we did not draw the next movie theme from the jar because we will have another holiday themed movie night next month...

What a fun movie night. That cake does look good. It would go very well with my Starbucks right now.

I have missed you!!! I had been remiss in keeping up with your TR, but I am caught up now. Gotta keep up, because there will be another one starting soon, too!

Can you believe I had never tried Italian Wedding Soup until I went to BFF's house for crafting over the holidays? Let me tell you, I am HOOKED now! I get a can of that stuff every week to bring in my lunch now!

I had tried a new meatball recipe, and it turned out SO GOOD, we have decided it's a keeper. I actullay put the leftover sauce and meatballs in the freezer, and this week we are having Meatball Subs with it!

I wanted to tell you, too, to feel free to chime in and add your own comments and observations on any of the movie nights you all come to. Bring your own camera next time, and we can have it all from a different perspective!

Hey everyone. Thank you all for the warm welcomes. I am so glad you enjoyed the intros. DH has a great imagination and loves creative writing. He even writes poetry for me sometimes.
My writing is not that colorful so DH will have to post from time to time.

Hi Cheekypoppins. Nice to meet you.

The Quackattack family has been talking about what we want to do on this cruise but no big plans to share yet. We have not even started our countdown. We have been shopping around for pieces we need for our costumes and we have been enjoying movie night with OopsiDaisy and her family. Time to do some serious planning.

Weekly Disney Activity #4

Last week's activity was such a simple one, but my family had a ball with it! I ran to the dollar store Friday afternoon and picked up a few Disney puzzles, and we did them after dinner. I am going to apologize in advance, because the first few photos came out blurry and I have no idea why.

They decided to race each other to make it a little more fun...

Brian and Gabe worked as a team:

Charity finished first, but something weird happened...there was a duplicate of one of the puzzle pieces! SHe, being the goober that she is, had to make a funny face with the exta puzzle piece:

Gabe and Brian finished second (and yes, Gabe is a goober, too):

And Jillian finished last...but in her defense, her puzzle was a "shaped one" and she had no help.

Simple activity, but everyone had a great time with it!

Weekend Disney Fun

But Wait!!! The Disney fun did not end Friday night with our activity...no way, there was more Magic to come! Saturday morning, Quackattack and I headed to the next town over for our very first CRUISE-MEET!

We found out through our cruise group FB page that several of us lived within 20 miles of each other, so we just HAD to meet! We all had breakfast together at the local Panera Bread, and had a great time. Half of us were first time Disney cruisers, and the other half are veteran cruisers, so there was much to talk about. Want to see our group?

Ahem...I was having a VERY bad hair day, so please excuse the brown mop on my head held back with bobby pins...

We had a wonderful time, and plan to do it again soon. Since we posted about it on the FB page, there have been other locals pop up who would like to join us next time. I just think it is so wonderful to be able to get to know these new friends way before the cruise. The cruise is going to be that much more fun when it does get here!

And a few other things to throw in some more PTR fun... I finally got around to putting the DCL logo decal on my car that krdotson made for me a few weeks ago:

This morning I made another cruise payment, so our chart is looking like this now:

And finally:
