Hello all you pin experts!!
I normally don't frequent this board but have a question for anyone who can help me. I want to find out the relative value of a pin. Just a little background to this story: We just started collecting pins on our last WDW vacation in Feb of 2002. My DD, 4 yrs old at the time, was given a pin from a Cast Member at the World of Disney store. There was no trade involved, my DD had gone with my DH up to the guest service counter to ask if they had any Tylnol for me, and the Cast Member said that she was a very polite girl and gave her a pin. The pin: It is in it's original package, never worn. The packaging states: Countdown to the Millenium 2000. The pin says: The Aristocats 1970. It is semi-heart shaped in dark pink with a light pink banner over the heart. Thomas, Dutchess and the kittens are on the pin. On the back of the pin it states it is pin #9 of 101. I had tucked it away in a nighstand in my bedroom and had forgotten about it. And I was wondering what value this pin has, if any. Is it the kind you would trade for any type pin or would it one to hold on to or to trade for an equally nice pin. I have never traded before so I'm not sure if this pin is 'special' or just run of the mill. The Aristocats is one of our favorite movies so I don't even think that we would want to trade it. Anyone have a clue??

Welcome to the Collectors Board.
![]() Is this the pin in question? If so, it's a pretty common pin. It was part of the Countdown to the Millennium set released in the Disney Stores back in the fall of 1999. The extras from that series have been sold at the Disney stores in Belz outlet malls in Florida. Many people use them for trading with cast member lanyards. Of course, since The Aristocats is a favorite movie of your DD, and since it was a gift from a WDW CM, no doubt she thinks it's priceless.
