Help me pick- magic, wonder or dream

Hi there!

Last year on opening day we managed to snag a deluxe family veranda room on the magic for the southern Caribbean cruise. The price was awesome- we are paying 4700 for all 5 of us.

We just got back from disney, and hubby loves it so much he wants to cancel the magic cruise and do a combo wdw/cruise.

So, if you had the choice, would you:
A) stay with the southern
B) do 3 days at BLT at disney then go on a 4 day dream cruise
C) do 2 days at VGF and a 5 day double dip on the wonder

Our kids are 9,6, and 3.5. It would be the last year our 9 yr old is a disney kid

Hubby is a buy prone to sea sickness, so slightly worried about a 7 day cruise- but in hurricane season do we stand a better chance if smooth water in the south?

Stay with what you have -- the longer the cruise, the more time to enjoy it.

Hurricane season is at least 6 mos long, and even the weather "experts" can't predict whether the southern itinerary would be smoother sailing than another part of the Caribbean during the specific time you choose to cruise.

WDW is great, but we really prefer cruising. We recently offered to take DGS to Disneyland and he asked if we could do another Disney cruise instead.

What size boat made your DH seasick? The DCL ships are huge, with stabilizers -- much of the time you won't even feel the motion of the ocean.

I'm happy to dance with you
I have 2 opinions
We had tried usual things to keep them away, including something like coyote urine, it is sold in hardware stores by us

I would stay with what you have too! A 7 night cruise on the Magic beats a trip to WDW for me!

5 nights is the ABSOLUTE MINIMUM I would ever consider for a cruise again unless it was virtually free. We did a 4 night on the Wonder and we were all left wanting. We had no sea days, so I know that had a lot to do with it as well. I'd go for the 7 night cruise.

I would stay with the cruise. You don't know when/if DCL will offer the southern again whereas the parks and a short cruise out of PC will always be there!

I also vote to say with the Southern.

I love the parks, and for our first cruise we did 4 days WDW followed by a 3 night cruise (the 4 night didn't work for us unfortunately). I couldn't imagine going to Orlando and NOT hitting the parks. As soon as we walked on the ship I was wishing we were there for longer.

My kids were almost 8 the first time we cruised and they were hooked as well. They would choose DCL over WDW in a heartbeat. This is not to say we don't still love the parks, we do. But I would definitely choose the longer cruise over a few days at the parks followed by the cruise.

If I could do 5 days at the parks followed by a 7 night (or longer) DCL vacation, that would be wonderful. But my budget doesn't agree, and I can't take our kids out of school for that long either.

Good luck in your decision!
