120 days..couldn't get a cabana??

today was my 120 day booking window and i relied on concierge services, but i was unable to get a cabana at the 120 day window. I've had one before and my wife is totally bummed out.

what is likely hood one would open up. DCL Conc Services said just keep calling back every day...even if you check online, because some are held back just for concierge. So it may not show up online. I was told there is no waitlist.

Strategies? Thoughts... So for the next 117 days i get to call DLC??

When did you contact concierge? You are able to start making requests at 150 days now as long as your are PIF. That is basically handled first-come-first-served. If you see one online between now and your cruise, grab it right away. You will have to stalk the website. They hold one cabana for concierge on the ship from all reports, so that is even difficult to get. You could ask on your meet thread if anyone is wishing to share a cabana.

Dang, sorry to hear that

When I originally went to book when it first opened up I forgot about the 3 hour time difference and when I went to book there weren't any cabanas left either.

I emailed the shoreside concierge right then, and next morning they had booked me into one. Hopefully they can find something for you!

i didnt make any requests until 125 days or so...wasn't aware of anything at 150 so that may have been my downfall..i was too far down the line on requests.

I'll keep trying and trying and hoping for some pixie dust now.

As a PP said, I'd contact shoreside concierge and see if they can do anything for you. If that doesn't pan out, talk to one of the concierge hosts as soon as you board. I asked at the welcome aboard reception in the lounge if we could get a cabana, and I was told that there was one available if we wanted one but we'd need to let them know ASAP. My understanding, although she didn't come right out and say so, is that they hold at least one back for concierge guests.

I hope some pixie dust flies your way! I had no idea about 150 days either until I read this post; I was just waiting for shore side concierge to contact me a few days before my 120. Of course, after I read this, I called them right away and made my request!

The change was reported here about six months ago maybe. It was speculated at first, but later confirmed by concierge that they reserve cabanas and other requests after 150 days and the reservations are confirmed at midnight on 120 days before or just as the window opens online. That is why someone who has done this can log in at midnight and see their confirmations already in place, and others log in at that time and find the cabanas sold out.

i feel very dumb. I'm quite the planner..books, guides, boards..all that. Somehow i completely missed the 150 "pre book requests".

I really had no idea..not one bit. I wish shoreside would reach out and to us 150 and say "hey start planning...give us requests"...etc. so that explains why i dind't get it. I was 30 days behind...it's like folks at 90 days trying to get it..and all the 120's got it. so the concierge folks at 150's got them.

I'm so so bummed and disappointed. The cabana was awesome and highlight of the cruise and castaway. Gonna keep trying and trying thought and hope one opens up.

For our February cruise we booked concierge but weren't interested in a cabana. I did, however, notice that they were all booked pretty quick. But when we were on the ship, they were selling something like 3 of them still.

Yes they are definitely accepting requests at the 150 day mark , I emailed my requests this past Thursday, which was the 150 day mark for our upcoming cruise. I received an emailed response that included the following:

Quote:
We have added your requests to our calendar. When the booking window opens on Sunday January 19th at midnight, the system will automatically book your requests for you. Once we arrive in the office that morning, you will receive an email confirmation of those reservations.

I'll see on January 19th whether it works or not.

Do you need to be paid in full at the 150 day mark in order to make the request?

I'm guessing they mentioned something about the family beach not being very crowded for the classics.
