Maximizing Chase/Disney On board?

Hey all,

Having just gotten the Chase Disney credit card to pay for our latest cruise (normally I avoid brand-specific credit cards, but hey, $200 credit + $50 on-board credit + 0% APR for 6-mo deal wasn't bad), I wonder if there are on-board benefits for cardholders (other than Disney Rewards points) like there are in the on-land parks? Didn't see any specific ones on the perks pamphlet they sent me, but figured I'd ask. TIA.

No on-board benefits (discounts, etc.) for Disney Visa Card Holders, Annual Passholders, DVC Members, etc. The only people that get a merchandise discount are CMs.

And Gold & Platinum Castaway Club members. Although I wouldn't be surprised if they take that away eventually.

Something I learned for my last DCL cruise using the Disney Visa Card! If you put an onboard credit on your account prior to getting to the cruise using the Disney Visa Card this also qualifies for the 6 months no interest!

Paying your onboard account with the Disney Visa during or at the end of the cruise does not qualify - these are considered purchases and not a Disney vacation package.

Call DCL or your TA and tell them you would like to add $ to your onboard account. Easy peasy.

Oh that's a great tip. I will make sure to set it up like that for our next cruise.

Just did the OBC for our cruise in February. I calculated what I expect to spend for tips, excursions, pictures, spa etc... And prepaid them. Great extra perk with the visa!
