I had a stick of CareFree gum, but it didn't work. I felt pretty good while I was blowing that bubble, but as soon as the gum lost its flavor, I was back to pondering my mortality.

Merry Frickin' Christmas!

Now if we could just get some sharks with lasers attached to their heads dropped off in the lagoon!

NOTE:

I'm going way out on a limb here, but I figure that when "day-guests" make their day-off FP+ reservations at the FP+ kiosk, they will be provided with a paper (hand-written, or check-off list, or printout) that lists the attractions and return times.

According to Kenny the Pirate, off site guests will need to go to the kiosks at AK in the morning to arrange FP+ bookings.

Looks like I will be spending my Disney vacation dollars at DLR or a non Disney vacation from now on.

I've always thought even a bad day at WDW was better then a good day at work.
I'm thinking otherwise now.

I feel like I'm watching a train accident in slow motion. I feel bad for everyone locked into a a vacation these next few weeks. But I feel REALLY bad for non-message board readers with no clue.

This whole fp + mess is beyond discouraging. I originally liked the idea of pre booking fastpasses but no park hopping and limits of 3 and tiers is not at all conducive to how we tour. Now legacy fp machines going away....this is the first year in I don't know how long that we decided no wdw trip. Maybe we'll stop in so cal on our way to Hawaii to show the kids Disneyland instead.

Again, trying to keep multiple things in neat little niches...

Next week at DAK: Off-site guests make day-of FP+ reservations.

After full rollout: Off-site guests make advanced FP+ reservations.

(Subject to change, of course.)

I'm so glad that I found out about this! We are leaving later today and I had AK penciled in for the 18th. I've already adjusted our schedule to go to AK on the 17th instead of spending that whole day at MK since we have MVMCPthat night. I'm so glad to not be caught by surprise!

Not a fan of the current 'state' of fp+ after our experience on our trip. Carrying around a paper print out, pulling up MDE that is slow at best, and having to plan when to ride the ride, well its not for our style of touring. But there are many kinks to be worked out, and with the latest news , more to come. So, I will reserve final judgement. So far, don't think I will love it.

I do think though that it definitely alleviates park hoppers. We usually hit a ride or two in one park and eat lunch head to another park and ride a specific ride, check something out. It is really would be better to at least be able to schedule say 2 fp in one park and 1 in another on the same day.

This will be a real treat for offsite guests, both returning and newbies. I understand standing in line but not this kiosk stuff. I already have my trip in progress but will think hard about returning so often. This whole concept is too time consuming. Oh well.

"Just to clarify" (I'll also use that expression because I am actually clarifying, although you were not- maybe you should look up what "clarify" means?) it wasn't a hateful comment. It was a response to an obnoxious comment.

The poster may not have said "my attitude at home is [blank]" but her attitude at home can be easily inferred by making an assumption that she was posting on the Disboards from home. And when posting (assumedly) from home the poster didn't just say "I'll be happy no matter what!" No, what the poster said was that she didn't need to ride "every ride 10 times without waiting" and she wouldn't be "hating the world" and "letting my attitude ruin my trip." All of which are rude, not-so-thinly veiled jabs at people who don't share her exact way of thinking.

Personally, I just get sick and tired of coming on here and seeing condescending, rude comments from people who obviously think they have the market on the "true" way to enjoy Disney, and who pretend to be uplifting and joyful when actually making a bunch of passive aggressive insults. If you can read what the poster wrote and not see the obnoxious undertone then bully for you - but I, at least, come right out and say what I mean instead of pretending to say something else.

I agree, this is the impression I have gotten too. But anything could change, as you said.

I still can't wrap my brain around what the point of this test is (offsite making day-of FP+ res) if prebooking is the final goal. Why not just test that? Is there something I am missing here?
