Is the Nov 1st MNSSHP usually sold out or very crowded?

On our next trip in 2015 I would like to plan our dates where I can go to the last MNSSHP on Nov 1st and then still be there to go to the first MVMCP on Nov 8th or 9th and see the Osbourne lights.

Have you ever been to that last Halloween party on the 1st? How were the crowds compared to other dates?

We attended this past Nov. 1st... it was crowded (it was also a Friday night). We have been to 5 parties total and have gone on Halloween night, weekdays, and weekends. Halloween is the busiest night but all have been crowded. Waits for candy and character greets can be long but you can walk on most rides. Very little waiting in lines except Haunted Mansion.

Do they usually have 2 parades on party nights like they do for MVMCP? I thought we would stake out a spot for the first parade, watch the castle show and fireworks and then ride some rides during the second parade. But I have never been to a Halloween party so I am not even sure what the timetable of things are.

For the MVMCP someone linked me to a webpage that basically gave you a run down of everything that happens and what time everything happens, etc. But I have never seen anything like that for Halloween parties.

I always opt for the 2nd parade unless you have young children and want to get out of there early. The 1st parade (8:15pm) is the most crowded and that is definitely the best time to get on the rides or attend the dance parties. We usually stake out a spot about 15-20 minutes before Happy HalloWishes start (9:30pm) and then can watch the 2nd parade (10:30pm).

We were just there this past Nov 1st. I would not have called it crowded, but seeing the first parade is a "MUST SKIP" for us. Once the crowd thins out, it's much more comfortable, at least for me.

That sounds like a good idea. I may try that strategy for the Halloween party and Christmas party. Was it easy to find a curb spot after the first parade and right before the fireworks?

We went to the first parade for the Nov 14th MVMCP and it was packed. I had never seen so many ppl in MK before because we go during slow times. I think going to the second parade is a better idea.

We always watch the fireworks from the terrace with the yellow umbrellas by the Tomorrowland Terrace and then head straight up to Frontierland. We always can find a spot there - STAY AWAY from Main Street for the parade. It's a mad house!!

We went in 2012 to MVMCP during mid November and I was shocked how crowded it was. I felt like a sardine I really prefer the Halloween party in comparison to the Xmas party.

Where in Frontierland? Isn't Frontierland where Big Thunder and Splash is? I am not familiar with the parade route so I am not sure where all it goes.

Yes, the parade starts right to the left of Splash. We walk down to the Diamond Horseshoe area - there is a popcorn stand across from it and we always sit in front of it. Everyone thinks you can't sit there but a section is taped off on the ground so you won't interfere with the popcorn line.

Here's a link to the 2013 brochure on All Ears - it lists all activities and shows the parade route

We went to the last Halloween party this year on November 1st and the first Christmas party on the 8th. Both were sold out and both were crowded. We normally go to a much earlier Halloween party, and you could feel the difference in the amount of people in the park. It was something we wanted to do one time with the last Halloween party and the first Christmas party, but we probably won't do it again.
