Longer articulated (with the bend in the middle) busses. Still all on one level and standard bus width. I assume wheelchairs will be handled the same as they are with the current busses.

We just returned from our first stay at POP. I thought it might be of interest to the POP fanatics out there that a mousekeeping staffer was escorting someone around to empty rooms to check them out for refurbishment. (They tried to see our room but we were in it! This was shortly after we checked in around 2pm.) We chatted with him for a minute and it sounded like they are looking to update some of the theming. Granted this was our first stay at POP (we stayed at AOA last year and that's my only on-site comparison) but our room was kind of run down (frayed carpet, dirty bathroom tile, wonky dresser drawers) so it seems that refreshing the interiors might be in order.

Thinking about booking a 4 day trip just me and DH in April. This will be a more relaxed trip. Lots of pool time, dinners and some park time. Will pop work for us?

Ask for a room facing the lake, upper floor - to minimize noise! Spending time around the Petals pool bar is always fun - we enjoy chatting up whoever happens to be around - I think you'll enjoy your time there! TIP- if you have room - pack your own beach towels - cause the hotel towels are really too small for proper pool enjoyment

Can you find boiled eggs in the grab n go area? Or is this something you can request at a food court? (I mean, how hard can it be to ask someone to boil an egg??) I know CBR has boiled eggs for sale, will the values as well? DD has food allergies, and boiled eggs are an easy breakfast for her.

Thanks!

I'll look for the carts in the hallway. Thanks!
I think they'd hesitate to do so, because there is no cover around the pools and as we know, Orlando is prone to sudden flash thunder storms (mostly in the summer) and it would be a waste to have carts of towels out in the pouring rain.

Great advice wiserabbit We always book standard and request lakeview, upper floor (we also enjoy the end rooms (near the stairwells), for the ultimate in quietness.

bksomody not sure what your previous resort experiences have been. We have stayed at POP numerous times and love the resort.... it's fun, full of energy, great theming and the CMs are very friendly. Great bus service too. Check out the lobby and the shadow boxes, take a stroll around the resort, and check the signs on memory lanes, and the giant Icons. Hope you have a wonderful time!

Thanks for the info. Pop was last refurbed in 2010, so we could be due for another one.

daydreaming today! I cannot wait to be back at Pop. From that first sniff in the lobby, to the gin and tonics poolside, to watching the fireworks from lake view. I just want to be back there, soooooo bad!!!
