I second this, we had the exact same experience in that location a few weeks ago.

70's section is my favorite, facing the lake. It felt very peaceful. I've also stayed in the 50's and enjoyed that, too. We were super close to the main building. We had the 80's section last time and that was my least favorite for sure. We were way on the backside and it seemed like a long walk after being spoiled with the 50's section the trip before. 70's or 50's is what I requested for our trip in October.

My favorite location was 60's section, building 4, 4th floor, facing the lake (specifically rooms 4450/51). Quiet, nice view of the lake (view of fireworks as well!), felt close to everything (elevators/stairs, pool, main building), and now it has the bonus of being close to the bridge to AoA which makes it convenient to walk over there for food or just to walk around. Those are standard rooms.

FTR, our least favorite location was building 2 in the 50's section. We had pool view but that wasn't a problem (no noise issues). The problem was, after having such a great location in the 60's section on the previous trip, it felt like we were so far away from the main building (especially the bus stops) -- but that could have been because that was monsoon week and we were constantly walking through puddles and driving rain. The one advantage (for us) to that location was that we could park really close to the building which made it easier to unload and load the car.

Our favorite was in 2007: 50's section, Tramp building 3, 4th floor (room 3434). Very quite with a view of the fireworks. Every trip since, I have requested Tramp building 3, 4th floor, lakeside every trip since and never even gotten the Tramp building again
In our past 3 trips we have stayed in the 50's jukebox building 2 and the Baloo and Mogley building 5. We liked them both but i do agree the 50's jukebox building 2 did seem like a long walk especially coming back after a full day at the parks.

So I keep reading that they will allow "small coffeemakers" in the room. We are driving, so I want to bring my Keurig. It's definitely not small - if small means like a 4-cup coffemaker. Think they will give me a hard time about it?

Both times we've stayed at Pop, we got 50's section. We stayed once in lady's building and once in tramp's. We love the 50's!

We plan on bringing a small electric kettle instead of a coffee maker. Guessing that shouldn't be a problem either (I hope!).

Less than a month until we are back home!!!

Our favorite section is the 70's facing the parking lot. Nothing like being a 45 second walk away from the buses for us.

Just booked our September 9-16 vacation. It'll be or first anniversary vacation so I'm hoping by putting that on our reservation along with our request for a King bed room it'll give us a better shot at getting it lol
