Does anyone here collect

Disney Coins? The ones from park openings and such. I just won a few in an auction and thought these would be kinda neat to look at and have as the years go by. So how about it... Do you collect these?

Yes, Nat.

There have been some real nice ones, especially the older coins.

I have the 10, 15, 20 and 25 year anniversary coins/medallions as well as two from the opening of EPCOT. My favorite one is the one from the opening of MK. That one is larger than most, almost like an Olympic medal. That was also the hardest one for me to find (as well as the most expensive).

We have a couple. One we picked up many years ago and is supposed to be a limited edition of 30 pieces. It is about the size of a silver dollar and I believe 1 troy ounce of silver and we were told that it was handed out to execs that were at the grand opening of the Magic Kingdom. We have picked up a few others over time but not what I would consider a "collection".

I have a few. I started collecting them after I won one in a Disney Club sweepstakes for the WDW 20th Anniversary. I wanted to win the trip and I mailed in dozens of cards. Didn't get the trip but I really love the coin. It's a L/E of 5,000 and is silver and 24K gold.
