When to plan FP+

Doing 5 days of Disney in April and staying offsite. Plan on buying tickets from the under cover tourist site. Will I need to use FP+? And if so when do I start booking my rides?

Someone may come in and correct me, but I think you have to wait until 60 days out to be able to use FP+, and I don't know that they've rolled it out yet for offsite guests, so we may not know what that will look like until after the holidays.

If I buy paper tickets from the under cover tourist prior to my April visit will I be excluded from FP+. If so I am OK with it...

Most of what I read has indicated that tix from UT and other authorized re-sellers have a code that can be used to enter the ticket into MDE. So, you should still be able to use FP+.

As far as being 'ok with it' if you are excluded, take note that it is highly likely that the system will be fully rolled out by April, and the consistent story has been that the traditional FP system will disappear once that roll-out occurs. You'll want to make use of the FP+ system for your trip, as the only other option you will have will be standby lines.
