Split Stay Magic Bands

Any help, why does my family have two sets of magic bands for our upcoming December trip?

We have 2 for our trip in Nov. our TA said it is because our first night is a room only booking and then we switch over to a package with tickets and dining. it's our first trip so I don't know.

This has happened a lot. Every ressie is prompting the shipment/production of Magic Bands. Bring both. I have read that both sets will work.

I have 7 reservations for our upcoming December trip, which will result in 36, yes 36 magic bands (party of 4 and party of 6). I have no interest in so many bands, but short of not checking in online, and potentially getting stuck with the gray bands, am not sure what to do.

We just came back from a sit stay. We were sent 2 sets of bands and they do all work. Just make sure you don't check in online for your second resort. For some reason it may delete any fast passes you have on the bands for those days.
