need help helping son plan trip

My DS just booked their first trip to the world as a family

They got ASMO quick dining and tickets for $2500 for 2 A and 7yr DGD plus DGS under 3

Im hoping to find some deal for them--however whenever DH and myself go we don't take a dining plan so what kinds of codes or pins should I be searching for

Im thinking in the lines that free dining would be about there only choice since if Im right you pay rack rate for the room?

does free dining really save $ since your paying rack rate for room

and advice or tips would be greatly appreciated thanks all

oh there going 2-25 to 3-3

since this is there first trip as a family I want them to have a magical time

What you'll want to do is watch for 2015 discounts to be announced and if history repeats, there won't be free dining during their dates. In '13 it was only a room only discount but for this year during those dates there was a choice between room only or Stay, Play, Dine where adults were charged children's prices for their tickets and dining plan.

The last time we went to Disney we got the free dining plan while staying at POP. I found that we did save a good amount over paying out of pocket IF we purchased everything we got. Taking just a room discount and purchasing out of pocket may be the better way to go. We ate a bunch of desserts we wouldn't have otherwise bought and used a good number of snack credits at the resort store just before we left.

Since they're staying at a value a free dining or a stay, play dine offer would most likely save them more money than a room only discount. It would be different if they were at a mod or deluxe.

Special offers for late winter should come out in Oct., based on past years. There's no point in you looking for a pin code - you can't transfer it to your son.
