Anyone booked a dummy cruise for 4 lately?

My parents are on the Dream next week and will be booking a dummy cruise for us (one cabin, 4 people). Any idea how much the usual deposit is, so I can send the right amount of $ with her?

Can you put cash down as the deposit? I thought you needed to use your credit card?

With the 2015 dates not out yet, the end of 2014 Dream is almost full with dummies. The prices are inflated.

The 3 nights are about the same $ as 4 nights now.

2A2C (13 y/o), Dec/Nov, Dream, 2014, Total $2K = $200.00 deposit

HTH

Sorry, I mean leave the right amount with her, we have to go back to Canada tomorrow . She'll put it on her card but I'll give her cash.

Her mom can book two cabins, one for her and one for daughter, as any pax could, with bennies, they just have to sail the same date and retain one original name on each ressie in each cabin, to retain the bennies.

I just booked a dummy cruise for 4 people two weeks ago while on the Fantasy, and also paid around $140 deposit

You can book two staterooms on the same cruise with full OBB benefits for anyone. You don't have to be in the rooms and the people you book do not need to be on the cruise when you make the reservation.

So is this info from the FAQ Sticky wrong? TIA

***New rules for Onboard Bookings

Effective 03/04/2012

When booking onboard, you are allowed to book 2 reservations per household that will receive the 10% discount, 50% deposit reduction and onboard credit (based on Castaway Club level). They must be for the same sail date. You will not be allowed to book these for someone not on the sailing and that is not in your household.

Disney Cruise Line will allow you to book more then the 2 reservations for future sailings but they will not have the 50% deposit reduction or 10% Discount. They will have an onboard credit (based on Castaway Club level). There is nothing stating these have to be in the same household so this basically replaces the Friends & Family certificate without giving additional 30 days after sailing to book.

So perhaps the PP won't be receiving all the bennies after all?
