When were you looking for free dining?
Pretty sure I remember you being skeptical of it being offered last fall beyond September too. This could be the end of a great promo. There have been signs in the past. The biggest one being the limited dates offered and some resorts not being offered. I trust and value your opinion totally, but I will keep hope for those waiting until it is official. I am a glass half full kinda gal. LOL

Like my quote in the article said, I think three weeks of September is all we are going to get.
Any idea which 3 weeks? Don't worry, I won't hold you to anything!

Best bet is Sept 1-17. If we're all lucky, maybe they will have a kind heart and include a few days at the end of August. But I wouldn't hold my breath for that.

What about October? There should at least be some kind of good discount for then, yes?

Some discount yes....I'm just not seeing free dining in the cards.

Believe me....I hope I can come back at some point and say it's coming and it's going to be offered a long time and all of you will get your dates. Oh how I hope I will get to do that....

Well, I will be checking this thread, at least, daily for more info.!!! We are considering bumping up our trip to the first week of September starting a day or two after Labor Day. If I hear about free dining being offered, that would probably catapult us into going then. I have to say, too, that a free Memory Maker package wouldn't propel us to go at that time, but a free dining package certainly would.

Thanks for you all keeping this thread up to date with good info.

Now that I'm thinking about it all, I have a question. If free dining is available, but I already have park tickets from taking advantage of the Orbitz/Ebates deal recently, would I be able to book free dining?? Or to get the free dining, in the past, did you have to book a whole room and tickets package together to be able to get the free dining?

You have to purchase at least a 2 day ticket from Disney

I keep reading about people getting pixie dusted with upgrades and it has me wondering -- do they tell you flat out you are being upgraded or do you just figure it out once you get to your room or see it on a map? I have always booked standard view but now that I think of it, I would say we had more of a garden view both times. Do they tell you of your good fortune?

Do you think they will do like they have done in the past as long as your check-in day falls during the offered time you will still be eligible.

We have booked standard as well and have been put into a garden view. I have never been told at check in that I was upgraded. I have heard others being told but I think that happens more when its a big upgrade.

Yes, I agree garden view is not a huge upgrade.
