Room service menu?

Is there a special menu for room service? Is it free of charge to use it? Do you tip the waiter every time he's delivering something to your room? Thanks

Good questions...I wondering about the tip as well. I would assume you do need to tip when they deliver to you. Hoping someone with experience can confirm....

I can't speak about what food items are on the menu,as it's been 5 years since my last DCL sailing. However, I can tell you that tipping the person bringing your food is certainly both appreciated and considered "normal"...Seems like most suggest atleast a buck or two per delivery. I've seen many people recommend to remember to bring $1 bills for this very reason (as well as for those handling your bags at port)

It is customary to tip when they bring the food. You can either give dollar bills, or just write it on the slip they have you sign (that's what we do). Keep in mind that anything pre-packaged is not free (coke, bags of chips, etc...) but they have a great selection of snacks and meals. We like the cheese/cracker platter, and cookies and milk at night!

My husband and I just got off the Fantasy a week ago . We always gave a few dollars tip depending on how much we ordered usually a dollar or so per plate or item. One thing I have to say is don't be afraid to ask about things not on the menu. My husband was delighted to find out they have the mickey shaped rice crispy treats for free, both the chocolate dipped and plain.

Each morning of our cruise on the Dream, we ordered coffee from room service and enjoyed it on the verandah while watching the sun on the water. It was fantastic! We also ordered the cheese tray...YUMMY! Lunch was from room service one day and it was exactly as we ordered and again...yummy! We always tipped several dollars because delivery of our items were always very prompt!

Inexperienced cruiser question here .... Are the Mickey Bars available on the Wonder & Magic? We cruised on the Dream a few weeks ago and that was one of the highlights for my DH and DD ... Curious if that is an option on the room service menu for all of the ships?

Yes, it's on all the ships. They are also available as dessert in the main dining rooms.
