connecting rooms - guaranteed in online checkin

Just checked in online 60 days out for CBR and when given the options of selecting room preferences, it had automatically selected and greyed out to make changing it unavailable of "guaranteed connecting rooms" and then let me pick 2 other options. We have 2 rooms that are in the same reservation and have 1 adult and 2 kids listed in each room. (kids 13,13,11,9 at time of trip)

I don't remember seeing any threads about this showing up during online check in and many many threads of saying they don't guarantee connecting rooms. I am happy to see it listed.

1) Connecting Rooms or Adjoining Rooms ARE NEVER guaranteed.
. . . some say kids outnumber adults
. . . some say medical reasons
. . . some say anything else
3) Regardless
. . . what any CM says
. . . what any paperwork says
. . . what any on-line info says
. . . what any travel agent says


NOTE: Although it is not guaranteed, WDW will ATTEMPT to honor a
request for connecting/adjoining whenever feasible.

I'm glad it's listed as well BUT - I hope you have a screen print or something for that "guarantee".

There are so many things that could happen between now and then and while I see your need for connecting rooms, there could be a greater one out there.

Been to Disney World over 60 times and have never gotten anything "guaranteed". Not to burst a bubble but few things in life are guaranteed. And those two things are depressing.

Wow - that was a depressing post but to the OP -things can change.

What Rusty said. Still not 100% guaranteed. Keep in mind you are just filling out a request form, just because you ask for them, that doesn't mean you will get them.

Truly nothing about your reservation is 100% guaranteed. Not even that you will have a room at the resort you booked. Disney can your change room type, and even resort, if they need to. I've twice had a reservation in hand that stated I had paid for a Preferred Room Location, and not gotten it. Everything is subject to availability.
