Question Can a cast member help me with a friends and family question?

Wondering if a cast member (or someone who has used the friends and family discount that a cast member gives out) can help me with a question.
I have a relative who is giving me her friends and family discount on a room. She told me that at times the dining plan is also offered but for November when we are going she doesn't know if it will be yet.
Is there anyone out there that know if it was offered the week before thanksgiving last year and when cast member know when and if it will happen?
I know the free dining plan for the general public (with a pin) is happening at this time. Not sure if that makes a difference. Thanks

They will know closer to the dates. Probably beginning October time frame. You probably have a decent chance of it being offered that week depending on specific dates. If it released it will be in tandem with a deeper resort discount. If your dates to outside of the offer you'll be rack rate for dates not included. It's really an all or nothing thing.

Can't help with last year but they are doing CM discounts differently this year as a whole so I wouldn't base it off that anyway. Broad offers won't make a difference for the CM discounts.

Ok thank you. I'm really hoping because that would be wodnerful but I'm already grateful for her regular discount so i can't be too picky.

the cast member can now add the Dining Plan to a reservation at full price. I have 4 rooms booked for December, when there is never a discounted cast dining offer, and was able to add the dining plan at full price for all rooms.

I am also staying in a room that was booked by my daughters best friend who is a Disney CM, and when I called Disney about the CM discount on dining plan for 1st week of Dec, she told me to call back in September and they should know by then if we get one.

Oh thank you!! Good to know. I didn't even think about calling myself. I didn't think they would tell me anything because I'm not a cast member .

You can't have 2 discounts.
You either have the Friends & Family discount
Or
The Free Dining promo should one come out.
Free dining is applied to full price/rack rate bookings

You can add the dining plan to your discount reservation but you will have to pay for it.

yes you can ad it at several times a year.
But only at specific times. She is waiting for her holiday booklet to come out to tell her when and if it will be offered this year. Last year it was October -December.
In fact they are offering it to them right now because her daughter is using it for her trip in July.

But not free... just a disount on the dining plan that can be attached to the reservation.

Hi everyone! The discount on the DDP is a little confusing to me. My friend graciously booked our stay for us in October with her 40% friends and family discount. She said she may be able to get us the DDP at a discount but wouldn't know until closer towards the trip? Few questions...
1. Can I call and inquire on this discount? She has done so much for us I dont want to bug her anymore than needed.
2. What kind of discount would the DDP be?

1. I don't believe so. Only the CM can as far as I know. It will be published on the internal Disney website if they make it available.
2. That I do not know.

Once the CM makes the initial reservation and has their ID my,her attached you can call and make changes. They usually don't require the CM to inquire or change bout the deeper room /dining discount but you might run into it everyone and again. The biggest thing they crack down on is just that initial booking.

DDP discount will probably be around 15% or so.

Do you know if I can make a regular room-only reservation and then have the CM call and give his ID to turn it into a CM Friends and Family discount? It would be a lot easier for me to call the regular disney reservation line and book the two rooms, with two separate credit cards for the deposit, give all the names and ages and then have the CM call and add ID than for me to pass all that info to him and have him call.

Cast members can't just get any room they want at all times. So it is better to have them go on and do it to see what is available to them.

Could you? Yes, as long as it's a room only and not a pkg. But as stated above they get limited inventory just like with any promo. You could potentially run into the problem of what you booked not being available.

You could always give them the information for the reservations, have the CM book it, and then you'd be able to call in before 10pm to pay for it with individual cards. The CM just has to book the initial reservation.

Or even call and make sure you have a profile with the correct info so the CM can just give a few details to get your info pulled up without needing to write down all the nitty gritty details.
