Cabana Availability

I am only slightly whining when I ask this questions, but does anyone but concierge or Platinum CC members ever get the cabanas? I'm Gold and I've never even been able to get a whiff of a cabana reservation. And that's clicking in at 9PM Pacific at day 106. I am just beginning to wonder if it's one of those things that only those "In the know" or "know someone" are able to get. It's a total silly splurge, so it just means more to spend elsewhere, but I am beginning to think they are myths.

Yes, occasionally those who are not Concierge or Platinum can snag a cabana.

You must haunt the DCL site (sometimes checking 2 or 3 times a day). Sometimes people who have booked a cabana change their mind and will cancel. It's just random luck whether you are checking soon enough after they cancel to get it.

Also, check once onboard the ship. Some people wait until they get onboard to cancel, freeing a cabana for someone else.

i'm sure it must depend on time of year and how full the ship is.
For our March cruise we were only silver but at online check-in there were probably 10 free on the family beach. They didn't last more than a day or so though.
