Sure, new pics are always good. Anything that takes your fancy really (quick snaps of Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner food menus, and other price or timetable signs, are always handy). Have a great time!

There aren't really any bad locations, but generally the best ones are in buildings 2, 4 and 5. It partly depends on what room category you booked of course. See www.portorleans.org/room-requests.php for more info and room maps. Have fun!

Nearing our online check in date... Thoughts on room requests? We have always just gone with whatever we got ... What's the difference in rooms ... POFQ looks very compact so there doesn't appear to be too much difference from one room to another? We have reservation for a garden view room - should we request something special (certain bldg or area or anything)... We've never asked for anything at check in so I have no idea about this... Checking to see if I have information correct.

I will be in WDW in February. I read here on the Dis that the pool at FQ will be closed during this time.

About how far away is the pool at POR?

Am I correct that there is only one pool at FQ? Whereas POR has a main pool and also "quiet" smaller pools that FQ guests can use too?

Correct, the POFQ pool will be closed during Feb. There is only one pool at FQ, but six over at Riverside. The distance depends on where you are located within FQ, but about ten minutes walk (or five minutes on the boat) would be a good estimate. They will also have a bus shuttle service running.

The rehab is scheduled through Feb 28, so it should open on Mar 1.

Does anyone know if the January schedule has been released and where I could find a copy? Thanks in advance!

Andre posts it as soon as it becomes available.

ETA: Actually, he's already posted it on his site:

Sorry, I received it just before Xmas and posted it on my site on Boxing Day, but I forgot to repost on the DIS too.

If you want to make sure of getting my news postings, you can subscribe to the RSS email feed (www.portorleans.org/portorleans-news-rss.xml), follow on Twitter @PortOrleansOrg or Facebook www.facebook.com/portorleans.org. None of them are very high traffic so they won't exactly swamp your inboxes.

Here you go:

Thanks Andre!

Thanks Andre for all your information!

My trip is 45 days away! Do most people check in this early?

What is the advantage to this? Is there a disadvantage to it? I checked in early on my last trip but that was when it was only allowed ten days early.

Thanks, Andre. I didn't realise you had an RSS feed. I've now added it to my 'Disney' category on the Feedly app :-)

Food court question...

I was just looking at the menu posted on Allears for Sassagoula Floatworks, and it's showing "create your own pasta". Is this a mistake, or do they have this at the FQ now?

Thanks!
