Wink CSR is getting better !

Saving our "pennies" for our next WDW vacation.
We were thinking of renting a DVC, but the CSR is getting a nice rehab.
Better than when we stayed there in 2012.

Some wonderful updates..
Las Ventanas is now open for breakfast and lunch.

The CSR is getting a rehab to start in 2015. Most likely will be completed by 2017!

And the best great happening at CSR...
There are no servers or charge a gratuity at the Pepper market !

CSR we are coming back. We can not wait for the new changes and rehab!

I'm glad you are excited, but I think it is pretty great now. The dark wood with the white bed covers looks very upscale. I do like that the Pepper Market is going to be like the other food courts. The whole tip thing was a little odd.

We never ate at CSR Pepper Market since we did not like the gratuity. Plus were were just at WDW for a quick 4 days. Mostly trying out a moderate.

We like new sheets, bedding and rugs - cleaner for the next guests.

We did not charge our phones with the clock- since we were not up with the times and have i-phones. Short story - we had old phones from Verizon, they could not fix them so now we are owners of Verizon i-5's.

So does the I-Home clock radio and docking station fit a Verizon i-5 to be charged ?
Thanks.

We love CSR - but we don't love the food court! That is why we haven't stayed there lately. So glad to hear that it is changing to a normal food court!!! . .

My family thinks it feels more like a deluxe than a moderate resort

A CSR addict I was very happy about the Pepper Market tip thing now if they can only do something about the slow cooking thing... Getting something to eat in there can take more then a New York minute LOL. But without thinking twice I would stay there over & over again. DIG SITE that alone makes this resort my Fav.

Pepper Market is already like other food courts, changed within the last year. The last thing they needed to implement was moving the registers up so you pay for your food before you sit down (rather than on the way out). I've read this has now been done, and even the stamp cards are gone now.

One thing I wish Pepper Market would change is their opening time - with them opening at 7am, they are slow to get going and it makes it a close call when trying to get to a park early for rope drop.

This is the first I'm hearing about a refurb. Is it going to be a big one? Last time we were there, our room AC broke twice during the week. I do think the decor is in ok shape though.

What is your source for this room renovation? Your dates would imply a major renovation. I read from another source (major CSR fan) that "The rehab will begin in January 2015. It will begin with the cabanas. It is a soft rehab; painting, carpets, new vanities." - so that is very minor.

I don't think renovations would take that long.

New paint is nice - a fresh new look
New rugs nice on your feet - but we do bring flip-flops for slippers

Breakfast in the room - so we can get out in the AM.

Pepper Market - we would only use for a quick snack n the afternoon - so I guess we never hit a busy time

Love CSR! Was in great shape when we were there two months ago. Hope they keep the dark wood/white comforters decor. I agree ... it looks more upscale than other mods.

The upcoming renovation may explain why we couldn't get a room there for our January '15 trip!
