Would you use Fidelity vs TSS.? if u cant find your contract??

Hi guys,
I'm currently in the market to buy add on for 100 pt contract. Its been difficult to land one on my use year.. August.. I've bought and sold contracts with TSS.. and i swore I'm only going to use them.

Now i just happened to look over Fidelity.. and bam! They have a contract thats perfect for me.. But i'm not diggin the $195 admin fee...and i've heard horror stories about them... changing staff and all other delays.. At least with TSS, i've dealt with them twice and have had the most wonderful experience with them!!!! and perhaps Fidelity might have higher commission rate than TSS. havent spoken to them.. I will try to call tomorrow..

So my option is: Should i go with Fidelity or to just go direct with Disney.. get my split 50/50 pt contract with the resorts they're selling. i love AKV anyway so i'm ok for that too?? or just keep stalking TSS contracts??

We are going through Fidelity for our first resale purchase now and really have no complaints. We called on a Tuesday, made what we thought was a lowball offer Wednesday, it was accepted Thursday, and the contract was faxed to us Friday. The next Tuesday it went to ROFR and should be through in another week or 2.

The process has been smooth to this point, the timing as quick as I would expect. For our purchase, the administrative fee added just over $1 per point, so I figured that into the offer we made. I could see where the value disappears in the lower point contracts since the $195 is fixed.

I would not overspend with Disney if Fidelity has what you want.

I had a small problem with Fidelity, so I was willing to pay a little extra to go through another site. However, I would not hesitate to use them if the deal was right (and if you're not in a super hurry). Most of their transactions are seamless.

I'd use them if they had the contract at the price I wanted. It's not like they're disreputable (ie, trying to cheat you), just not always as good of communication and sometimes sloppy so double check things. For mistakes - I've even had TTS make those. Actually, I really think the closing company they use is part of the problem. I wonder if they would allow you to select a different one?

However, I've used them twice and have gotten my contracts without much of a difference compared to anyone else.

Be aware that that perfect contract may already be pending, Fidelity doesn't note that a contract is pending on their listings and listings sometimes stay up after they are pending awhile.

We used TTS for our first three add-ons, and the process went smoothly, but there was a hiccup on one of the contracts that cost us about a week.

Our most recent add-on was with Fidelity. Overall, the process went smoothly, but it took longer to get to each step than with TTS and that was a little nerve-wracking, since there were points in the contract that needed to be banked. Fortunately, everything closed in time and the point were in our account quickly so we could bank the points.

If Fidelity had a contract that fit my needs, I would not hesitate to use them again. You have to keep on them in the early part of the process, particularly if it seems to be taking too long to get an answer about the offer being accepted. I, too, am a little put off by the $195 admin fee. But, what can you do . . . sometimes they have the best contract at the best price.

I will second sndral's comment -- Fidelity does not keep their website updated and many of the listed contracts may already be sold, so you probably should just call them and see if it even available.

I'd make an offer through Fidelity if they had the contract I was looking for. I'd just make the offer contingent on using Magic Vacation Title as the title company. A lot of the delays and communications issues are really with the title company, so that fixes a lot of problems.

I used fidelity 3 times and timeshare store once. I didnt' have any major issues with fidelity, they're a little slower and not as good communicating. the admin fee is annoying but just make your offer appropriately. I think fidelity has more reasonably priced contracts so it's probably the same net cost.

Fidelity did well for me with no complaints what so ever.

If they have the perfect contract, my recommendation would be to make an offer through Fidelity. In the end if you get what you want - isn't that the goal?

I think we bought a contract through fidelity a couple years ago. Is that the one that used to have 2 main women processing, one of which really knew her stuff (Sharon - that was the agent we ended up working with)? Went fine for us.

Yup... i called and its already pending! their website is not updated fast as TSS. I didnt think to use Magic Vacation as their title company. If that's the case, then yes, i would definitely use them as the title company. I've worked with Brenda and its just been great!
I'm glad to hear some of the better transactions that went smoothly with Fidelity. I've called them twice on my previous resales and TSS won me over and had the contract comparable to what i was looking for.

Meanwhile my Disney guide called me today to ask about my decision on whether im adding on before Oct. 4th.. since they are running a "special".
