Trip Ins. question

Going on Fantasy Oct. 19th. 2013 . Is it too late to buy trip insurance ? I'm looking to get insurance just in case a family member gets sick ( person will not be traveling with us ). Is there a plan that would cover us since it's so close to our sail date ?

I'd suggest going to http://www.*****************/ or https://www.squaremouth.com/ and seeing if they can find anything for you. Those are both insurance comparison sites.

I'm thinking it may be too late. Typically you need to purchase insurance within a certain time frame from initial payment (usually something like 14-30 days).

Yes you can still buy travel insurance now. You only have to purchase within 14 days of original booking for the PEC waiver. If the person who will be staying home and may become ill has a PEC, you need to get a policy that will cover cancel for any reason since them having a PEC that affects you taking or remaining on the cruise wouldn't be covered otherwise. The standard PEC purchased after the initial 14 day period usually has a time period before the purchase [2-3 months] where the PEC couldn't be an issue.
