Trip postponement

We were due to leave next Wednesday on a free dining offer stay. My parents are coming with us, but my Mother went into the hospital on Tuesday so we need to postpone. I know the cancellation policy, but how does postponing work? Do we pay the $50 change fee x 2 for both reservations? I'm presuming free dining doesn't carry over but can we apply other discounts that may be out there?

If your cost goes up when you make the change you won't be charged the $50 fee. If you are changing your dates and they fall within the free dining offer you have applied you could keep it, pending availability. If you're bumping it out past that, yes, you'd have to remove it. You could apply something else if it's available and/or if it's into next year when something is released.

You guys are within 2 weeks so you'll probably be charged the $15 documents fee for each reservation you move.

I hope your mom recovers quickly!

We had to move a trip when our son was in the hospital. It was less than a week before we were to check in on a package stay. Disney was wonderful about rescheduling it all and did not charge us any type of change fee! I would just call them and explain the situation.
