Split Stay:DDP on part 2 only?

We are doing a split stay between CSR for a conference (so no point in doing a dining plan since many meals are covered) and CR or poly for part two. We did the DDP as an adult trip and saved a ton of money. This time, we have a little one (2yrs) and plan on doing a lot of character dining for him and a fate night or two for us. We are going to buy park tickets at the conference rate to connect to the magic bands, but will we be able to do DDP on just half the trip? We want to start using it on the morning we transfer hotels. I figured if I bought a package for part two that would work, then I could connect the conference hotel to the magic bands too.

You gotta be original because if you're like someone else, what do they need you for?

If you have a split stay with two separate reservations than the answer is yes, you can add DDP to part 2 of your stay. If you are staying on one reservation the whole time and want to get DDP for only half, then no, you cannot do that.

You'll have to call to book your room. In the past, dining required a package with tickets. Now, you can book a "ticketless" package with just a room and dining. You can't book the ticketless package online.

You have to buy a package to get a dining plan. How long are your conference tickets good for, would they cover the second stay? If you can get them to cover the second stay then call and book a ticketless package (room and dining) for the second part. As noted you cannot book this type of package online.
