Your meal at CRT looks and sounds amazing! Sorry you had so much trouble getting there. I don't know why CRT has never made our short list before but I think you talked me into eating there in December! (luckily I will have a TiW card!) eating during Wishes can't be topped. Your BLT room looks really nice.

I ended up with a blister yesterday and thought of you

Phew! I haven't really had time to DIS this week, but I'm glad to see I didn't get too far behind.

for missing the rain!

The Contemporary has never done much for me, but I really love the location and dťcor in the BLT. HUGE rooms and so many great views!

Sometimes being late for a dining reservation is unavoidable. We found that out on our way to La Hacienda when that pesky Spaceship Earth got in the way!

I need to go back and read your review of dinner at CRT- we have never been.

After your meal did you ask if you could go up to "your suite"?

************************************************** *************

ETA: Just read your dining review of CRT. We have never been for breakfast or dinner.

Usually I am mesmerized by food porn, but this time, I was drooling over the view from your table. WOWSA!!!

I love the picture of the carousel all lit up and of the fireworks. That first shot is gorgeous!

But I did manage to pull myself away from your window long enough to check out your food.

I'm sorry your salad was disappointing. I read the description and I would have been tempted. Until I saw the menu listing for the strawberry salad. YUM!

I'm glad to hear you were both happy with your entrees.

Too funny about the dessert. I'm glad you were able to get something to your liking.

Loved the photos of your room at BLT! We stayed in a studio... Which was nice, BUT I like the 1 bedroom much better!

I love the Mickey magnet that you have for your schedule! Did you print out schedules for each leg of your trip?! Bc by day 2 my schedule usually starts looking pretty crumpled! Despite my best efforts to keep it neat!

What a fabulous room! Way more spacious than our little studio at BLT.

Glad you made it to CRT somewhat on time! I hate being late too, so I know the feeling.

All caught up!

Wow, you were having quite the trip. Sunrise Safari, four different resorts... I didn't realize! Love all the videos by the way! You guys always look like you are having so much fun. I love the one when you were taking the "Which Character Are You" quiz, will definitely have to stop by the Animation Building when I go.

Love your photos of the Dream Suite! That was so awesome of your former CM friend to do that for you. Such a nice guy. I can only dream ( ) that I would ever get the chance to see the Cinderella Dream Suite. You and Emmy were so lucky!

Can't wait to hear about the rest of your night at the Magic Kingdom!

Oh and safe travels!

I'm back!!!

Hi, Brenda, I've missed you. Please say hi to Em and Michael for me.

How sweet of Em to pack for you.

I cannot believe you and Em had never gone to SAB. I'm not sure why I'm shocked knowing how you are at the parks and going to great restaurants. I'm glad you finally got a chance to try it out.

Lovely room at the BLT. I've never had a desire to stay there, but your room is gorgeous.

That parade is always getting in the way. Lovely photo of you and Em with Cinderella (although I have to say you two look much better than her.

Can't wait to read more.

Glad you made it on before the rain.
Nice room. I keep saying a 1 br would be nice once but Vinny talks me out of it and says not to waste the points. I agree with him and book a studio. Also we never would cook so no need. I do like the laundry room in them though.
Beautiful room.
Nice views.
Glad you were only 5 minutes late. Darn parade.
Great updates and pics.

I'm back in town and prepared to get caught up this weekend! I have a lot of your DRs/TRs/PTRs to visit.

Enjoyed your review of dinner at CRT - you got a perfect table for watching Wishes - what a unique view .... people probably don't typically think of that as an option and probably also slightly easier to get an ADR there so late in the evening
Funny how I adore BLT as well as AKL. Completely different styles but I love them both. Go figure.

Oh yes, unpacking....it's very important to my sanity.

We were definitely lucky with the seating for CRT - especially with the timing for Wishes. I think you are correct in your observation... take a look at any CRT dinner times available in July and they are all after 9pm.

Oh, your room at Bay Lake looks beautiful! Each room looks really large and roomy. And I love that there are balcony spaces from both the living room and the master bedroom.

Glad nobody gave you a hard time for being a few minutes late to your dinner. Those parades can cause some major traffic jams, so I could see how it'd be difficult to navigate your way up to the castle.
Those BLT rooms are really like mini apartments. I suppose that's why they call them villas.

I should have done my homework and remembered when MSEP was scheduled. It may have saved me from apologizing for being late. Despite that minor delay, at least we arrived.

I'm glad you were able to get to CRT only a few minutes late. Being late in WDW gives me anxiety even though most CMs are usually understanding about it. I read your dining review and the food looks delicious!!! (even the poor little lettuce salad you had....)
It was nice to come "home" to our favorite non AKL resort! I loved having all the comforts of home in the villa. And no, I didn't vacuum or wash dishes so it was all the better!

I'm glad the CMs were so nice and forgiving of our tardiness. Just remember, looks are deceiving! I've had worse so I shouldn't complain. All of Em's choices (except that clock strikes midnight dessert) were very good.

I love the BLT room! It's beautiful!

I hate it when you forget about the MSEP! I love that parade but it can be a nuisance when you need to get somewhere!

Cute picture with Cinderella, I agree her new dress is fabulous!
Ha ha! I will admit it! I'm a wimp. We run for cover at the first sign of a storm or if it's too hot!

Thanks, we just happen to love BLT although it's not everyone's cup of tea.

If I'd have checked the schedule I would have noted that important little fact about MSEP. Lesson learned to give myself a little more time.

Cinderella's dress is beautiful. Wouldn't it be fun if she loaned out her dress to one of us commoners?

Bummer to have a rained out afternoon at DHS.

Looks like a nice dinner at CRT. My DD has never been a princess fanatic, so we have never dined there. Actually made my life a little easier since that was one reservation I didn't have to fight for at the crack of dawn!
Wishes looked lovely from your castle view.
I'm a fan of the lake view at BLT since it has a front-seat view of the sunrise.

I suppose I won't melt so it shouldn't have been a big deal but making in on the bus before the rain started felt like a big win!

No kidding! There's legendary stories about competing for ADRs at CRT. Rising at 3am PT, oh wait, that's what I did before! And the perfect spot for a dead center Wishes view wasn't bad either.

I was so relieved that Em was up and packed let alone the fact that she had all the bags ready and waiting for bell service.

SAB is so fun so I'm glad that we took the plunge, figuratively and literally!

Aww cute "balloon" photo, and Em is clearly strong enough here not to need anyone keeping her from flying away. Had her Wheaties I'm guessing!

Phew... Thank goodness you weren't held up taking a survey or something before the rain hit. Can you imagine something like that???

Holy, I just put that into perspective. Still 6 more nights left. WOW!

Wow, the CM beat you to the room. I guess BLT must have Utilidors.

Haha, you may be running a bit late, but God love ya for still getting some MSEP and other photos on the way. Priorities!!! And no doubt Em just kept on walking, lol.
Well, I did look a little melty and ick so I can see where you could rather "feel" the humidity.

I'm pretty sure those balloons at AK packed a helium punch and required your Canadian muscle. We were lucky that these were just the tame DHS variety!

Ha ha! The infamous survey moment. Yes, at least we were not side-tracked with that silliness. Although we are not done with surveys this trip... dun dun dun dun!

Gawsh, yes 6 more nights which translates to 60% complete for this sucker.

I'm thinking you are right about those utilidoors otherwise known as the Baytilidors!

You have such a great memory! Yes, Em knows the rule.... keep going.

Rob, it's always so good to see you hanging in here with this loooong TR. I need to get caught up post haste with yours.

I am eating at CRT in May for breakfast. Very excited. It will be my first visit there.
Hi MK! The good thing about BLT is there's not a bad view - it's either the lake or MK (ok, with some parking lot!) If only my villa experience included the VGF! I'm completely jealous.

Oh, I love breakfast at CRT! If you are booked before park open that will be even more special. I know you eat healthy but the stuffed French toast at CRT for breakfast is really good!

We are drawn to Sci-Fi for some reason too. What can I say, it's a fun place to eat! We love the themeing in there, even though the most decent food is the burgers, which you can get at any CS. It's definitely the environment that we go there for.

Nice room at BLT! That was where we ideally wanted to stay in May but it wasn't available. I would love to be able to walk to MK with DS at this age!
Thanks! It was a short but sweet solo morning! I'm glad all the parks have the picture frames now. They are such a cute prop.

I agree, there's some mysterious pull to Sci-Fi dining - definitely it has to do with the theming. But those burgers aren't bad. Watch them be the same burgers as are served next door at the ABC Commissary.

Shuttling back and forth from MK to the resort for a mid-day break is so easy with BLT. Convenience for mom and dad with little ones is a plus!

Wow - the 9th floor BLT view is awesome - even with the rain! The BLT one-bedroom villa is beautiful. I donít think Iíve ever seen pics of anything but the studio at BLT.

We have only ever done CRT for lunch, but Iím thinking maybe we should try dinner - it must be pretty neat to be eating in the castle with all the lights lit up outside. Of course, we never get seated near enough to a window to know whatís going on outside! Loved all the CRT pics! And Iím sure that Cinderella was just saying she was glad to see everyone else; Iím betting that you and Em made a great impression!
Glad you got a chuckle Roni!

Now you can mark off your list, photos of a BLT 1 bdrm = check!

The first time we dined at CRT we were by a window so we were a little spoiled. I was curious as to the view so that worked out well. I'm sure lunch at CRT was a lot of fun and Miss Willow must have been in her finest princess outfit - I'm guessing Cinderella.

I hate being late too... so I feel your pain there.

I just started reading Dean's book I like that I can take it on my lunch break and get a quick dose of Disney magic in the middle of the work day
Oh my! I worry about that every trip. What did I leave in a closet or plugged in in some out of the way place. Considering I came home missing a shoe once, it can happen! Much better to leave my shoe behind rather than a credit card or ipod for sure!

I'm a punctual person so being tardy makes me squirm.

Isn't that great about the book. The chapters are short so you can squeeze in a few in a short period of time. I'm glad that you are enjoying it.

Oh, I'm glad you had some great memories! You just can't beat being so close to MK. It's fortunate that any monorail ride home is the first stop!

Actually, it is nice to come home with a suitcase full of clean clothes.
Exactly, that laundry room was our place to store the luggage and miscellaneous items. Although I did trip over Em's suitcase in there one morning but that's another story!

That's funny you mention doing laundry because you can.... Em did that the first time we stayed in a villa. She figured it was a novel thing so why not! The side effect of your laundry already being done isn't bad either.

Definitely a big change in theming between those two resorts. As different as they are they both had a lake outside our window. But I do love that space.

I should have told the entire story about the wind and my dress on the walkway to BLT from CR. There was a guy in a scooter, scooting along when I was walking across the bridge right when that happened. He said, whoa Marilyn moment there. So he dubbed it my Marilyn moment.

Ha ha! Considering Em and I are fairly short any of those princesses will be taller than us but that Cinderella must have been at least 5' 6"

Glad you got around the "obstruction" on your way to CRT. I tell ya, that Goofy can be quite reckless with his driving so it's always a good thing when you can walk away in one piece.
Oh, the CR garden wing is very nice. I always thought it odd that they had a separate wing of rooms but then they destroyed the North wing or whatever it was that BLT replaced. I thought some of the largest rooms are located in the garden wing.

It pays to read the parade schedule I tell ya! I could have avoided the whole mess if I'd planned that one better.

I haven't been to CRT in 7 years. I'm trying to convince my group to go this year but I don't think it's working! I'll live vicariously through yours for now!
Getting around MK at that time of day is such a pain! No matter how hard the CMs try to keep an open path or re-route, it still adds so much time onto your journey. Glad you weren't too late, and also very glad that you didn't get scolded! (I also hate to be late, I tend to scold myself.)
Adorable pic with Cinderella!
Hi Wendy! I was pretty relieved to see those raindrops AFTER we were on the bus! Ha ha! yes, my wind baby didn't get wet.

Thanks, we love BLT.

I would imagine CRT is a tough one to sell to a big group. You kinda have to like characters and the inflated cost of eating in the castle. But if it works out great!

I didn't know that they rope off the entire castle area all the way over to Mickey's Philharmagic. I suppose they are cautious with those fireworks. Yeah, if they reprimanded us for being late I would have stood myself in a corner out of guilt!

Thank you so much cstorm. I appreciate you reading! I noticed you had a TR going as well so I popped over and enjoyed reading... I still need to read through your entire TR! We have an Oklahoma connection!

I've seen the Emporium be a safe haven from rain, and a short cut for parades. Either way it can get crazy in there huh!

That's definitely one ADR that you don't want to miss since it is pre-paid!

Thanks again for reading!
