Happy Birthday to your daughter. That sounds like a amazing weekend you all will have. Your vintage pictures made me kinda sad. They grow up so fast. I have a DS2 who we took to Disney this past September for the first time and I know in 16 years I will be the one posting those pictures.

Enjoy the weekend and I hope it is full of lots of pixie dust for her

Happy Birthday Emily! 18 is such a magical number! The photos of her as a little girl brought tears to me eyes. No wonder she is such a Disney lover!

I bought Dean's book. I got it through Amazon so I hope he still gets the credit!

I went back and caught up on all the dream suite posts. I'm a little star struck!

Continuing with my version of the tour... There was a chair here and a sofa there... some windows over there... carpet.
Once again, I'm so happy you got to do this. One because it's such an amazing experience, and the other because you describe it so beautifully.

I really don't know how I would react being in there. Especially having those windows there looking out over the Kingdom. Thanks for the looking out shot. That would just be beyond wonderful.

Mirror transforming into a TV?? Yeah, I need me one of those.

You've both raised an amazing, intelligent, and beautiful young lady that I can attest to first hand.

And wow, pretty soon she'll be able to have her first drink...

I want to celebrate my birthday in Disney too... Oh wait...

Happy 18th Birthday to Emily!!!
Hope you have a magical weekend!!! Friends of ours that lived in LaHabra spent their 30th anniversary weekend there and received a magical upgrade to the Presidential Suite!! Talk about a great anniversary surprise! Here's wishing for some extra pixie dust for Emily!!

Loved the update on the Dream Suite. I was wondering if people that stay there are allowed to walk outside during the hours the park is closed? I have always wanted to be in the Magic Kingdom after hours to watch what happens then!

My thoughts exactly! Just the photos would be enough, but your descriptions are so wonderful!

Happy Birthday Emily, it looks as though you will be celebrating in style

The telephone does work, you're allowed to call anywhere in the world from it so I stayed up till about 2am so I could call the girls back in England before they went to school

I just wanted to share that I browsed the comments and shared with Em all of your wonderful, kind birthday greetings for her and she said.... "Now I know why you like to hang out on the DisBoards so much, those people are awesome!!" She gets it.

Seriously though, thank you so much for the Birthday shout outs!

Have fun in Vegas while you work.
