What I would do? Beach Club. Love the style, and LOVE the walk to/from Epcot - I like to end a lot of days at Epcot and the "walk home" is a big plus.

What your friend should do? Decide which park they'll be spending the most time at (MK or Epcot/DHS). Then look at the Monorail resorts (if MK) or the Epcot resorts (if Ep/DHS) and choose the one that most appeals to them. If I had unlimited budget and wanted a resort near MK, it would be hard not to splurge on a Contemporary Tower Theme Park view - as with BC and Epcot, the ability to walk home at the end of the day would be appealing.

Exactly what I was thinking. The ability to walk to a park is the number one perk of staying onsite in my book.

For myself and my family, probably a grand villa. I'd go with Bay Lake Tower but I'm not crazy about the fact that those Grand Villas are way up at the top (the view is spectacular but that high up I feel out of touch -- plus second son hates heights). The ones at Boardwalk are right on the lake, I think, which would be cool, and they're more the height range I like. Ditto the ones at the Grand Floridian.

Our dream vacation (if cost is not an issue) - I choose the Poly if it's just me and DH, Treehouse Villas if we are bringing kids along.

Wilderness Lodge, especially during the holidays! For our next trip we are looking into trying Bay Lake Towers or Beach Club for the first time.

May 2013- 1st ever Star Wars Weekend and DVC stay
December 2012- Engagement Celebration at Wilderness Lodge
June 2012- My parents treat their 3 kids in their late 20’s for a week in WDW!!
December 2011- Our one day visit to the Magic Kingdom
July 2010- Our First trip together to Magic Kingdom
2004- Family Trip to DisneyLand
1989-1998- Too many WDW trips to count!

It would have to be a split stay either BLT or WL CL ( especially if its the holidays) and BC we love the walk to/from Epcot!!!
If you can dream it, you can do it - Horizons
Been there, done that since 1979 and will do it again at Disney!!!

I agree with the split stay idea - I love convenience! We are having our dream vacation in December. 1 night at the POP for late arrival, check in early the next day at the Poly for 4 nights, then 6 nights at the YC. That way, the only bus we have to take is to get to AK.

I would choose one of the 1 or 2 bedroom DVC villas. Even if they don't need it, having a fridge, laundry and kitchen would be awesome. Since location is important to me, I would choose Bay Lake or Grand Floridian as my first choice and Beach Club or Boardwalk as my second choice. Of course Animal Kingdom Savannah view looks pretty good as well, and Wilderness Lodge is beautiful. Now that I think about it, Club level at the Polynesian or Contemporary would be nice. So many good choices. Good luck narrowing this one down.

Grand Floridian, theme park view--specifically Sago Cay or Conch Key.

we did a split stay once and finished our visit with three nights in a dormer room in Sago Cay. it was beautiful to see the castle from our bed.

i know some don't like the balconies on the dormer rooms, but i loved that it was enclosed on the bottom. my son loved to sit out and watch the monorails and it just made me feel a little less stress.

we also love the Contemporary. but there is something so glamorous (?) about GF. and the main building is just gorgeous!

I would choose Poly, I think. Maybe CR tower. I have the money to stay there, really, but it's just so hard to justify the expense when we spend so little time at the resort and have always been happy with Pop. I would rather use the savings and put them towards another vacation (outside of WDW).

If money is no object: four nights at the Wilderness Lodge (my favorite resort), followed by four nights at the Poly (a very close second to the WL and my wife's favorite resort). Love the theming of both.

I would

stay where we are staying in 9 days and make it possible for many families that would never have the opportunity to be at the happiest place in the world.
