The Blue Bayou Restaurant

I wonder when the Blue Bayou Restaurant made a change in their menu? But it has been ten years or more since I last dined there. When I learned that they now serve steak and lobster, but deleted the Monte Cristo sandwich from the dinner menu, it leads me to believe they had a big change on their menu.

I hope to dine there in 5 months, so I hope they are open then, especially on Sundays in late January.

Can anyone fill me in on this?

If you're interested in the Monte Cristo, Café Orleans had it on their menu 2 nights ago.

The Monte Cristo sandwich is still on the lunch menu at the Blue Bayou. You can also get it or a 3 cheese version at Cafe Orleans. The Blue Bayou is open for lunch and dinner whenever DL is open so unless it's having a refurb it should be open in January. Reservations can be made 60 days in advance.

Since this board is focused on Disney World dining, if you have any other questions about Disneyland you can ask on the DL board:

As this restaurant is at Disneyland, I am moving the thread to the Disneyland board.

Here is the reported menu from over this summer. It may change a little bit in the fall, but if it does, this site does try and update their information: http://allears.net/dlr/din/menu/men_bayd.htm

Have a great time! When you check in, make sure and ask for a river side table and tell them you would be willing to wait for it!

Since I remember in 2007 the Monte Cristo has always been a lunch item and not dinner.

I do miss that iceberg wedge salad though!

We've never dined at Blue Bayou, but I plan to make reservations and surprise my DH with dinner there one night grandma and grandpa will take our boys so we can enjoy ourselves. POTC is my husband's all-time favorite ride!!

My question is this: If I can make reservations 60 days out, but I don't know what time DL is closing that week, how late can I make reservations?

I want to have a late dinner, so we don't miss too much family time!

BTW, we will be at DL Dec 6-8.
Thanks!

Just call the reservation line and ask when is the latest reservation they'll take. Although DLR doesn't post their hours until 4-6 weeks before, it seems that they tell the reservations people earlier than that, so they can set the restaurant hours. On rare occasions the hours will change, and they'll call or send you a notice that your reservation can't be met, and ask you to change. But the vast majority of times, they'll know the hours in advance, and you can confidently get the last one of the evening.

Hamburgers?

Does anyone know if they offer Hamburgers because my DH will not eat anything (but the kids Mac N Cheese) that is listed on the menu that is posted on the Disneyland website. We are taking my dad for his 80th birthday in December.

The monte cristo at lunch is a fantastic order - but no matter how hungry you are it is a sandwich for two people. My son (18) insisted he could eat one by himself, was famished at the time, but only could manage half. Disney has perfected the deep fried french toast sandwich, but do not order one per person, you will be wasting so much food.

I do not believe so.

However, he CAN order an adult portion of any kids menu item. My wife is vegetarian and always does this with the pasta.

Here is a website that lists some historical park hours:

http://allthingsmouse.com/park-hours...al-park-hours/

I don't know if this site is up to date because I just did a quick google search, but a couple of months ago I found historical hours for the past few years by doing a little digging. They tend to stick to the previous year's schedule, with a few exceptions. If anything, they seem to be staying open later even in the off season now that DCA is doing so well.
