Cinderella Castle Dream Lights

Anyone remember what time Disney turns the lights on each evening on the Castle during December? I am wondering if it is before 7pm so I can see them without a ticket for MVMCP or if I need to be in the MK on a night without the MVMCP event. Since there are 4 MVMCP events the week I will be there, I am trying to do some advance planning.
I have attended the MVMCP in the past but do not plan to spend the money for it this trip so don't bother to suggest just getting a ticket to MVMCP. With a group of 12 the price is not in the budget.

The lights are turned nightly well before 7:00p, so all guests have an opportunity to see them, with or without MVMCP tickets.

Usually 6:15-6:30.

They definitely turn them on before the party starts.

We've been during the Holiday season the last 5 years, and it has always been between 6:00 and 6:30 depending on how late it in the season you go. It will have a scheduled posted time. When we go end of November beginning of December it is usually at 6:30. Whenever it is, you can be assured that you can see it before MVMCP starts. It will likely be crowded because you will have all the people leaving and all the people coming in for the party there to watch, but we love watching it!

Correct! Earlier in the month it's usually at 6:30. As the month progresses and the days get shorter, it gets moved to 6:15.

Ok just went through my videos from Thanksgiving last year, the lights came on after sunset (no show), approx 20 min later, lights go off and then there's the little fairy godmother show thingy and the lights are lit up again. Anyway I'm most definately sure it's before the party.

For the last 3 years Cinderalla's Holiday Wish has begun at 6:15 each evening for the full season meaning the Castle Dream Lights were lit at approximately 6:20(they are lit approximately 5 minutes into the approximately 7 minute show).

While Cinderella's Holiday Wish has been at 5:45 or 6:30 at times in past years,it "appears" Disney has settled on 6:15.

Only time will tell.

yes the show may be at 6:15, but the lights actually come on before then.

I've never seen the lights turned on before the "lighting ceremony." I'm thinking they do not do that regularly.

Well I have video of two seperate nights at MK One is the Sunday before Thanksgiving, the second the Saturday after.. In both videos the icicle lights are definitely on before the Cinderella's Christmas wish show.. It's on for a short while, then the castle goes black and the queue music starts. This is last year btw..

Thanks so much for everyone's help. I think we will stay on Dec. 1 until the lights come on and then leave the MK for supper somewhere off property or back at the condo.
