It depend on what you are canceling. Restaurants are one day, but certain dining events are two days. Here is info on restaurants...

Depends on the ADR.

Some special dining events (like the Candlelight Processional packages) are 2 days instead of 1. Most regular restaurant reservations are 1 day.

Just checked my Artist Point reservation for Thursday night. It says "1 day" (not 24 hours).

I'm guessing that whatever you are looking at is incorrect. Those restaurants are generally 1 day cancellation, not 2.

The website is likely displaying incorrect information as usual. Only the special packages (CP, F!, etc), prepaid stuff (HDDR, CRT), and I think Akershus have 2 day windows (Aker was one of the few that had a CC-hold way back when and it was 2-day then, not sure if it changed when they added all the others).

Of course, this is subject to change, like anything else at WDW.

Also note that it's not "24" or "48" hours, but latest word is close of business the day before or two days before. Well, latest that I've heard, I may be out of the loop and someone will correct me if I'm wrong .

MDE is at this point rather like the WDW-DINE phone agents - you can't trust it to be correct.
