Roaring Fork vs. Contempo Cafe

We plan to eat an early dinner at either WL or Contemporary before heading off to MVMCP. We figured it would save us a few bucks on sodas (as we would have the Rapid Fill mugs) and it wouldn't take any time away from rides & the party as we would probably eat around 3 to get to MK by 4.

I've read reviews of each place on the Disney Food Blog, but they mainly just gave reviews of the yummy looking treats but since we'll be at MK until midnight we want something filling.

I've never heard much about the places on the boards so I was wondering if anyone could suggest which is better.

Also, we would probably head to GF then go over to WL then Contemporary if we eat at Contempo. Can you take one of the boats from GF to WL?

Thanks!

Personally I love the Turkey Sandwich at Contempo Cafe...it is hard to beat. Their Cupcakes are amazing too. Plus you are closer to MK...5 minute walk so that is my suggestion.

Yeah, i'm glad to see that both WL and Contemporary have easy access to MK but access from Contemporary would be more reliable since we could just walk to MK in case we miss a boat or the monorail.

I know either way, we wanted to drop by Contempo to get one of their delicious looking cupcakes

Yes you should...and split one of those turkey sandwiches. Well worth it. I am always on the DDP and I still go there and pay out of pocket for a sandwich or two each visit they are that good.

I love that turkey sandwich!! We have eaten at both CC and RF, and would say that CC is better!

Looks like Contempo is winning! Their sandwiches look yummy - especially the turkey & brie sandwich! That buttery bread isn't looking too healthy but i'll be in Disney - nothing has calories in Disney

Which turkey sandwich are you talking about? I noticed there is a hot one and a cold one. I wanted to go to Contempo on our Nov. trip and was wondering which turkey sandwich everyone was referring to as soooo good.

I'm not 100% sure but I think everyone is talking about the hot turkey sandwich with Brie cheese- I saw it was the most popular on review sites. It looks delicious!

Are you able to customize sandwiches on the kiosk such as asking for a sauce on the side?

Oh yeah, no matter what we planned to stop by there to get some Christmas cupcakes. I'm excited to see what kind of Christmas treats they have
