Ordering sushi for lunch at Kona Cafe

Has anyone been to Kona Cafe lately? I would like to know if is possible to order sushi if we have lunch there? I know they were trying it out earlier this year but haven't heard much about it since.

Not real lately, but in January were told that was only an option at dinner. I was really looking forward to it, but we still had a magnificent lunch.

I don't think we were even given an option to order sushi, so I don't think you can. It was our first time trying it this past March, and we loved, we were quite surprised and can't wait to try it out again next time.

The sushi bar opens at 5:00 so you won't be able to get it before then.

Sushi IS available at lunch. The test went well and it's a permanent lunch item now. Enjoy!

Nevermind...I found a menu listing the sushi choices.

But thanks anyway to whoever started this thread...I did not know the sushi counter wasn't open before 5, and one of our guest really wants to stop there mid-afternoon for late lunch so we're going to Kona Cafe for lunch.

Sushi bar is closed

I was at the Poly less than two weeks ago and unfortunately the sushi bar is closed :-(. However, you can still order sushi from Kona Cafe.

This is great news! I assume the sushi selections for lunch is the same as the one for dinner?

Is it closed permanently or just be refurbished?

Kona Island is open in the morning for coffee and pastries and then closed at 12:30. It reopens at 5:00 and sushi, wine, apps and desserts as well as coffee are available until 10:00. Sushi is no longer prepared there, it is prepared at Kona Cafe and is available from 12:00 to 3:00 and then 5:00 to 10:00

Thank you so much for the info.

Knowing that I can now order sushi for lunch too as appetiser or main course for lunch, I'll ask them for the menu.

Yes, they are the same for lunch and dinner. They have a few on display, where the desserts always were ( which are still there as well). I had the caterpillar roll and it was great.

Was just looking at the sushi menu form allears.net.
So many to choose from The dragon hand roll and volcano roll sound good too.
