If you get a one bedroom at OKW, you will have a queen sleeper sofa and a twin sleeper chair in the living room. So the two kids won't have to share a bed. At SSR, you only get the queen sleeper sofa in the living room.

If you get a studio, at OKW you get two queen beds. SSR has one queen bed and one double sleeper sofa.

OKW porch beats the SSR balcony any day. OKW has a full sized table and four chairs on the one bedroom and larger porches. SSR just has two chairs and a side table with a narrow porch.

Studio bathroom at OKW is big, but it's all in one room. Studio bathroom at SSR is tiny (tub and toilet in one room, sink outside that room), but you can use the sink while someone is in the tub/shower.

Is this correct? If so, I do know to ask to stay near the hospitality house. However, what if there are no rooms available there? Where else should I ask to stay? Is it the same at SSR? Any help is welcomed!
Hospitality House is a booking category. If you didn't book HHA, you probably won't get it. But for medical needs you should request Bldg 62, 63 or 64 since they are the only ones with elevators. Put medical needs on your reservation if you book OKW. Those buildings are right across the street from the HH and close to the bus stop there. But renting a scooter might work better for your husband because it will give him somewhere to sit when he gets tired out.

It's been 32 years since my husband had his stroke (and he's running marathons now), but take it slow if you need to. Just makes it easier.

Really? I kind of like how SSR has a fold up bed. My teens used to like to hang out in the room . So the couch was nice.

The studio sleeper sofa is double sized, not queen sized. Both beds at OKW are queen sized.

Thanks for posting this info. I use an EVC. At other resorts I sometimes have a long wait to get on a bus that is not crowded. I found out that at SS if I stay at Congress Park, which is the first stop, I can get on the first bus that comes. Do you have any recommendations which building or area at OKW would be best to allow an EVC to get on a not crowded bus?

That would be South Pointe, it's the first stop. But you must request a first floor room, I'd recommend any of the buildings in the cul-de-sac, numbers 53-56. There's a nice quiet pool there too.

We've stayed there twice and have never gotten on a crowded bus, in the morning it will be empty when it picks up. As a matter of fact, OKW at South Pointe is the only place where we take the bus more often than we drive. We think the bus service there is great!

I have stayed at both resorts. I would pick OKW over SSR any day. I could not put my finger on it, but I just did not care for SS.
