Hallway Noise Levels: Magic Deck 6 vs. Deck 5

Possibly switching rooms. Have been on Deck 5 and it was quiet and pleasant. Wanting a different type of veranda and went with a 5B on Deck 6. Is there a lot of hallway noise with there being so many more rooms? Thanks --

We have stayed on Deck 6 Magic twice and never noticed much noise.

We have also been on deck 6 twice and have never had an issue and I'm a light sleeper.

We stayed in a 5C right at the midship elevators (Deck 6) on the Magic last year and at high traffic times you would hear some hallway noise, but even at those times it was never to the level to bother us.

The noise can always be different... You might have kids/teens running around at 2 in the morning some cruises but other than that there is not that much noise

Hated staying on deck 6 or 7 with all of the cabins. The noise was awful. We always stay on deck 5 forward on the Magic.

I always try to get deck 5 and can't get it (I want to be close to the clubs), but have stayed on Deck 6 a couple times and it's very nice and quiet.

We had deck 5 (aft) on the Wonder to Alaska and the cabin itself was "quiet" - however.....we were surrounded by families CONSTANTLY slamming or letting go of their cabin doors. I have never hear so much constant noise, repeatedly and all hours of the day, seriously. They would go in, out, in, out and every single time the cabin door would slam. There was no way I could take a nap it was that loud and constant. I think it was two different families and the parents had the verandah and the kids had the inside cabins across the hall and for whatever reason they couldn't go in/out in one trip.

SO - yep, sometimes it just depends on the neighbors and cruisers you have! We loved the location and wouldn't hesitate again to book this location on the Wonder/Magic but we hope we don't get the multi-door slammers next time around!
