My first Disney trip must have been early 1973... since my mom looked like she was at least 6 months pregnant with me It looks like we stayed at the Contemporary from the pics. My first memories and most of them were all at the Poly though!

For my first adult trip was in 2012 and I stayed at Pop for a short trip... next trip will be POR I'm hoping it will feel more "Disney" to me than POP did.

Our hotel choices have always been dictated by cost, so it's been the values for us. For our first trip in 1995 we stayed at All Star Music, which was great. To be honest, we were out all day so the resprt was literally just somewhere to sleep. Next year we're staying in a moderate for the first time as our DS will be 2, and we will need to spend more time in the resort so we thought we'd treat ourselves to a mod and enjoy free QS dining!

Our first trip to Dsney was in Easter April of 1989. Decideing to go only in January Disney World was Sold Out ....No rooms to be had at then then existing resorts, CR, Poly or Ft. Wilderness. We ended up booking one of the "Official Hotels of WDW" the Travelodge off of SR 535 within walking distance to The Disney Villiage MarketPlace now known as DTD. We stayed at the Travelodge again the following Easter, this is now a Best Western.

We stayed at Port Orleans Resort then in '92 shortly after it opened choosing it over Dixie Landings because of the Serphant pool, our 4th trip found us back at PO and we have never looked back preferring to stay onsite.

My first resort was All-Star Sports. However, I don't actually remember it, because I was three years old on my first trip. This upcoming trip, we're staying at POR, and I look forward to being able to remember staying within the Disney Bubble, since last year I went with my choir and stayed offsite, and when I went to DLR we stayed off-site, and I've no idea where we stayed when I was five at WDW.

My first WDW resort was in 2006 at POP with my family. We went multiple times before that but we stayed at family timeshare all those times. As an adult, my first was Poly for my honeymoon in 2011.

We stayed at FW Cabins on our first trip in 2004. I picked it only because almost everything else was booked, and we liked the idea of having extra room. On that trip, we purchased DVC and always have a great place to stay.

We always stayed offsite on our trips as a kid. The ones I remember was a Comfort Suites. My dad used to travel for work so he would drive and take the family along. He would go to work and we'd head to the parks or hang out by the pool.

First on site experience was with my sister when she graduated from college. ASMu. Since then we've continued to upgrade our experiences with better resorts!

Well I had many Disney trips using offsite hotels before staying on property the first time so I guess I'll just jump to our first onsite stay which was our first trip with ODS in 2010. He was just over 2 at the time.

We chose POFQ. Deluxes were too pricey and of the mods it was the only one that really appealed to me. I loved the pics online and was really excited to try it. In reality, I was rather disappointed. For $180 a night I had expected it to be nicer. It was much more motel quality than I had anticipated, but of course this was also right before a refurb so things were pretty run down. I hadn't realized before this trip that the prices you pay are for the other perks like transportation, free dining, etc. and not the room so much. And transportation was not great that trip either. We spent a lot of time waiting on buses and they were always packed to overflowing. And housekeeping drove me nuts. We didn't have a do not disturb sign and I was sick in the room a few days. They kept coming back like every 15 minutes after I told them I was sick and in bed and to come back later. And on checkout day they started knocking first thing in the morning.

It wasn't everything I hoped for but we still had a nice time.

Yeah I can't figure it out myself. Maybe the room was paid for by some company our group and these people were there just for a room and a place to smoke.

POP is actually a pretty cool resort. Our room and the public areas were all very clean. The grounds crew takes great care of that place. Everything POP and the food court were in great shape.

The issues were really due to crowd levels. I never waited in line for any less than an hour to get on a bus to or from POP. I think on the first night we were there we waited 2 hours for a bus at Epcot.
