Dining reservation during MNSSHP

Just wondering if on the night of MNSSHP do all non party guests have to be out of the park by 7.....we do not have tickets for the party and were going to make a 6:45/7 reservation in Magic Kingdom for that evening but were not sure if it was allowed

The latest you could be seated for a reservation without a party ticket is 6:45p so I'd make it a bit earlier to be safe. Once finished you will need to leave the park immediately.

Might be worth taking a look at plans and trying to do a non park dinner that night if possible and switch to in park on a day there is no party.

When we were there year before last we saw guests without tickets being escorted by CM to the exit from CRT when they finished. So much of MNSSHP is wandering around and watching stuff they have to make sure that unticketed guests are cleared. It would not be fair if unticketed guests got to see the parade or rare characters etc.. I have also read though of some people being able to stop and look at merchandise on the way out after party started so maybe it was inconsistent or they did not have an ADR they just made a really slow exit. I do no that ADRS for MNSSHP can be very hard to come by. I made one once and could only get a 4:00 reservation. Now that we have been several times I would never waste party time on an ADR if I had tickets too much to see. For anyone who wants to get the party feel but does not have a ticket, you can watch hallowishes from the 4th floor and stairwell outside contemporary and they pipe in the music. It is a great view! We actually watched from 6th floor stairwell. I don't think you will have a problem being in the park with a reservation up until if you are already at the podium. Just know you could be escorted out(in the nicest way of course it is Disney)

You can't buy anything after 7pm without having a wristband, so even if someone was able to enter a store before 7pm, they could not buy anything. You can't even enter a restroom inside MK after 7 without a wristband. You have to use the restrooms outside of the gates.

Yes and no...they won't let you into a store at 7:00 pm, but if you're already in the store (at least this was the case at the Emporium), they won't deny you the purchase. You cannot purchase the party specific merchandise without a wristband regardless of the time. I've seen non-wristband folks in the MS stores after 7:00 pm being able to finish up their purchases. They do set up check points inside the stores and you cannot move backwards without a wristband.

7PM reservation ok I'm told

Hi...we have a BOG reservation at 7PM on a MNSSHP nite....in the last day, I have received a response from the Disney Mom's Panel and from someone at Disney that the reservation was ok even though we are going to MNSSHP on another nite and the park closes at 7PM....was very relieved to hear responses...hope this helps...

I'm glad to see someone else has this issue. I scheduled an ADR at BOG at 6:30 on a party night without realizing it was a party night. I asked the Disboards if this would be seen as trying to skirt the rules, and I was worried that I would be ushered out like a rule breaker! The Disboards assured me that it happens often and the CMs are nice about it. Now, with this thread, I see it happens to others, too.

I would not count on it. Historically no one with a 7PM ADR has been seated unless they have a wristband. We have had to happen to people on these boards.

At 7pm, valid park admission is a party ticket. If you don't have a party ticket I doubt you will be able to keep that ADR.

No offense to the Mom's Panel, but they often give out incorrect info, and unless the person you spoke with at Disney was the manager of BOG, I wouldn't trust what they said, either. History has shown that a 7pm reservation on a party night requires a wristband. CM's start sweeping the park around 6:45-6:50pm directing people without wristbands to the front of the park. You can't even walk back to certain lands at that point.

well, unless unexpectedly an earlier reservation opens and makes this moot, I guess I'll have to be a guinea pig on this one for the board....planning on getting to BOG early to avoid closing issues, will have already ordered birthday cake for my Twins' birthday celebration at BOG, will have our purchased MNSSHP tix for another nite in hand with the print out from the Mom's Panel and my already prepared speech about being worried about this but getting the ok twice now on the phone from Disney dining reps, all the while with our now 6 year old twins in BBB costumes front and center....good or bad, I'll post the outcome for future generations of MSSSHP'ers to learn from....

I wouldn't bother with the print out from the Mom's Panel. There is a disclaimer at the bottom of every page that states that Disney has not approved any of the answers prior to their posting. I would keep trying for an earlier time, especially as it gets closer. I would hate for those little princesses to end up disappointed if you get turned away. Best of luck!

ETA: I just tried to make a 7pm reservation at Tony's for a party night to see if there was a disclaimer and there was. This was at the top of the screen with an "!" in front of it:

Your reservation occurs during a special event, which requires a separate admission ticket for entry. Please ensure all members of your dining party hold tickets for this event.

They will not seat you. I would keep trying to get an earlier time. It has been reported in previous years that you must have a party ticket if your ADR is 7 or later on a party night. It also lets you know when making the ADR.

No really, you need to change your plans. The Mom's Panel is one of the worst places to go for accurate info. Disney does not even monitor what the mom's post for accuracy!

You won't be allowed an ADR that is 7 pm or later, it is not even a question! Do you really want to celebrate your twins birthday being turned away? How will they feel front and center, all dressed up, and being told, sorry but the rule is you must have a party ticket to start any even in the Magic Kingdom at 7 pm?

You are not the first one to attempt what you are planning. It won't work. You are really going to have one huge disaster on your hands. Please, for the sake of your vacation, change your ADR time.

I did it too and got the same message. And in the past on the phone the CM read the spiel about needing a party ticket.
