Top 5 for a not so fancy family of 5?

We have planned our 1st ever trip to WDW. We will be there a Sat-Sat and are staying at AKL. What are your top 5 family restaurants (non-character) in or out of the parks to eat at and why? Thanks in advance!!

In no particular order:

1) 'Ohana
2) Biergarten
3) Via Napoli
4) 50's Prime Time
5) Le Cellier

My answer would include Be Our Guest, but that's kind of a character meal.

We had a wonderful time, but did have our moments!

Pretty much down to my hips on one side, but nice and perky on the other

1. Cape May Clambake (delicious!)
2. Dinner at 1900 Park Fare (for your daughter, though we all get a kick out of it. None of the characters is a "face" character.)
3. Le Cellier (a family favorite!)
4. Coral Reef (atmosphere is unbeatable!)
5. Sci Fi (we're so-so on the food, but your boys will LOVE it!!!)

1. Via Napoli only decent pizza in WDW, one of our favorties.
2. Sanaa Great Indian/ African food, and the best of the more causal spots in Animal Kingdom Lodge. The food court in AKL, the Mara) is also our favorite food court on property by far.
3. Tangerine Cafe - Favorite Epcot Quick Service, can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
4. Yak and Yeti (much better than Epcot Asian inspired menus, but not too fancy)
5. Tepan Edo, good Benihana style food and entertaining but not too fancy)

Staying at AKL - BOMA is top of my list for you.

Via Napoli
Raglan Road
San Angel
Sci Fi or 50's - both have fun atmospheres.

Ohana - one of our faves, plus kid activities during dinner

Teppan Edo - entertaining for all ages

1.) Ohana
2.) Crystal Palace breakfast - before park opens
3.) Whispering Canyon
4.) Hoop De Doo
5.) Wolfgang Pucks

All of these are family favorites and we enjoy the food as well as atmosphere . Crystal Palace is a character meal , however my 14 year old even request this every year for the food . Not to mention it is awesome to be in Magic Kingdom before the park opens . The pictures are priceless!!

Since you are staying at AKL, I think Boma would be a great choice. We also loved Sanaa also at AKL. 50s Prime Time is a lot of fun but the food is only ok (pork chops, meat loaf, fried chicken). Biergarten is another fun restaurant. The food has a vinegar taste to it but the desserts are really good. I thought Rainforest Cafe was really good especially if you are on the dining plan but others give it bad reviews.

Kids love T-rex and Rainforest Café.
Since not much counter service has been mentioned, I will name a few of my families favorites!
Flametree BBQ at AK, when walking towards the seating areas, stay right and follow the path all the way down to the seating area with a spectacular view of Everest, the kids will love it but don't feed the birds!!
Be Our Guest for lunch at MK, also Columbia Harbor House and Pecos Bills for a SUPER fixins bar for your burger or taco salad!
At Downtown Disney Marketplace is Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express, very good food at both.

We are a family of five, we go for theming/food...here are our top five...

MK: Cinderella's Royal Table..just plain cool to eat in a castle!!!
HS: Sci Fi..eating at a drive in, in a car...where else can you do that?
Epcot: Rose & Crown...just love fish and chips and theming...plus the waiters accents are just too cool
Resorts: OHana, good food, incredible atmosphere..not likely to get to Hawaii anytime soon, this takes me there
Downtown Disney: Raglan Road..we love everything Irish and I hear their bread pudding is worth extra trips
