Parking At The Terminal

We have decided to park at the terminal to save some time and get right out and on the road after our cruise.

1-Do we need to reserve our parking? Any chance of it being full if we don't?
2- Are there any discount coupons or rates for the Disney terminal garage?

1. I have never heard of it being full, so you shouldn't need to reserve. If you reserve, you can pay in advance and not have to worry about it when you leave the cruise.

2. I have never seen any discounts on parking at the terminal.

We always park at the terminal and have never had an issue parking. There are several threads that list nearby hotels that offer 40% off parking at the terminal with a hotel stay. We plan to stay at the Fairfield Inn in Titusville for the discount but we are driving from Atlanta.

So, if we are using the 40% off coupon from our hotel we can not prepay. Is that correct?

We parked at the terminal at Port Caniveral (just got off the ship this past Sunday). We arrived at the terminal approximately 10:00 am and parked on level 3. People were just starting to come into the garage at that time. You want to park on level 3 because this is the level where you enter the terminal at. The cost is $20 a day, it was well worth it. When you get off the ship, there are men standing around asking to take your luggage for you. They will follow you all the way through customs and out to your car. They will even put it in the car if you would like. They work for tips. We tipped the guy $20, it was worth it not to have to drag huge suitcases out to the car.

Exactly what we did in June & 9 cruises before. But pretty sure it was $15 a "day" maybe they had another price increase.

Yes the price has increased to $20 a day, unless you have some kind of discount from a hotel. Our hotel (Hampton Inn) did not give any discounts.

We didn't have any discounts, I just checked the Port Canaveral Website & for a 7 day cruise it's $120, they charge for the Saturday when you board & then you get charged for the Saturday when you disembark. 8 days X $15= $120.
Maybe they haven't updated their website if there has been increase, but we were charged $120, 7 weeks ago.

from what I can tell on the port Canaveral website is that $20 is for the preferred parking.

Preferred Parking is offered at Cruise Terminal 8 and is located right next to the terminal, the rate is $20.00 more than the standard parking rates, regardless of cruise length.

The regular parking is $15.

Whether you park in one of our terminal lots or parking garages, the rate* for the following cruises are: 3-day, $60; 4-day, $75; 5-day, $90, and 7-day, $120 for vehicles up to 20 feet in length. For vehicles longer than 20 feet, the rates are $104, $130, $156 and $208 respectively.

Unless they have not updated their website parking is $15 a day but they charge you the day you arrive and also include the day you leave. The prices were listed in a post above. So a 3 day cruise is really paying for 4 days of parking ($15.00 x 4 = $60), 4 day cruise is paying for 5 days of parking ($15.00 x 5 = $75), etc.

When you get there, do you drop your luggage off at the curb before you park??

So if you park on level three, you then stand on line and wait there in the garage to enter the terminal entrance?

Sorry, haven't left out of PC since 2007 .

Thanks!

We dropped our luggage, me, and the kids at the curb while my husband parked the car. We met up at the top of the escalator after security, so the timing worked perfectly. I had the passports, ready to check us all in if my husband was delayed, but it was just right. He had his DL, of course, to show at the entrance.

ETA, I'm not the OP, just chiming in

Yes, you can reserve and prepay on their website.
