Magic or Dream to Bahamas?

Hello! We are trying to decide between 4 night cruises- Dream will be two Family Ocean view cabins with large sit in portholes, Magic would be deluxe cabins with navigators verandah. Traveling eith three kids ages 8, 11 and 15. We did the Dream before- we found it to be way crowded particularly in the pool deck area, but the kids loved the golf course, basketball court, and the oldest loved Vibe. Are the kids clubs as nice on the Magic? Will we miss the extra amenities of the Dream if we choose the smaller ship?
Welcoming any insight!

If you are sailing after the Magic gets her upgrades then the extra amenities will be comparable to the Dream. If you felt that the Dream was too big and the pool area was too crowded then you may do better on the Magic. I have never sailed on the Magic but I'm sure I would enjoy it just as much as the Dream. The only ship my boys aren't interested in right now is the Wonder because it does not have the aqua duck or the aqua dunk that the Magic will be getting.

We decided on a 4 night cruise on the Magic in April because it was smaller! I read many advantages from not as many people, to more intimate, and it will be upgraded!!

Since you've been on the Dream but not the Magic, I'd go with the Magic. It won't be as crowded because they don't accommodate as many guests, but it can still be crowded for a short cruise. We love verandahs so if you haven't sailed with a verandah before, that's another plus for the Magic.

The youth areas are different on the Magic but still nice and fun. My boys love the Vibe on the Magic - it's up in the stack midship (used to be called The Stack) so it's different than what your child experienced on the Dream. The space for the younger kids is different, too, but similar activities.

The Magic has a sports deck, so there's basketball No golf course but as others have said, the addition of the AquaDunk adds an extra activity on the pool deck. There is a movie theater on the Magic, too.

My DW and I love the Magic, been on it 6 times now. The ships are truly different from each other. I don't really you are giving up anything. Just a different ship.

I am interested in this thread too. We are going on the magic in October. But looking for another date soon and there is one with magic or dream with similar pricing.

On one hand, the dream would be different and has the Aquaduck. But we don't like crowds which is why we were doing the magic the first time around. So I'm not sure.

I would book a Dream cruise while on the Magic in October. You can save the 10% and get the OBC. They you can compare the two ships and save some money.

Hmm, that's a thought. I was going to wait and see if a gt rate came out since I could go last minute and not really in a hurry. I wonder which would be better, the gt or 10%

remember 10% PLUS OBC, and only 10% required to book instead of 20%. And then it's booked. And you pick the category and room!

You COULD get the *GT rate at some point, but if you price it out, it might be better to just book it. Up to you of course.
