Getting to Airport...Suggestions Needed

DS and I are flying to see my parents soon and I am pretty sure DH will have to work and won't be able to take us to the airport. (he will get his schedule for the week the day before my flight)

So I have been wracking my brain to figure out how I can get DS, myself and a few suitcases to the airport. There is no one else that can take us as our two sets of close friends leave the day before us.

Here are some things I thought....

1. Drive and park at the airport and have DH and friend come get the car the next day. I don't want to leave it there because I will be gone a little over 2 weeks. ($20 but could be less if I use an off site place)

2. Go to work with DH that day (at a local resort) and take Mears from the resort. ($60)

3. Get a room at Disney (DVC) and take Magical Express. (have points left to use)

4. Get a room near the airport and take their free shuttle. (both 3 and 4 DH would drop us off in the early afternoon and we would swim until it was time to go.)

5. Take a taxi, about $90.

6. Rent a car from the airport in the morning and drive it back that night. (less than $50)

Can anyone think about any other options? I'm really trying to think outside the box! I am dreading arriving at the airport and having to take DS in his stroller, his carseat and at least two suitcases in by myself!

Pay a friend to drive you? If you were my friend, I'd be more than happy to drive you for free, but $50 would make me thrilled. LOL!

The last few times we went, I paid a private car service to take us. It was cheaper than super shuttle, and it was just my family. Whole lot nicer than super shuttle too!

It's just too easy to call a taxi.

Well either option one is the best OR you and I can have a DisMeet and then have a mini-Dismeet with her and the Polk County people can go to the airport

We actually live in the same neighborhood.

There was actually a little meet not too long ago. Guess it's time for another. :-)

One of these.

From your last sentence, it sounds like you want another person with you to get you both inside. Anyone that I'm facebook friends with, I'd be comfortable enough to have drive me to the airport and walk us in, so I might even make a Facebook status: "Would anyone be willing to drive me and my son to the airport on such and such day for $50?"

Is there a way you can make it with one suitcase? If you are staying with your parents maybe you can bring less clothes and do laundry? I know that doesn't answer your airport question but might help you a bit once you get there. As for the airport, I would do the park there and have your husband pick up the car the next day unless the airport is really far then I would probably take a cab or do the go to work with your hubby thing. Have a great time!

If she has someone take her she can curb check the luggage and maybe the car seat too. That would make things much easier through the airport.
