Which MK area resort offers the best breakfast?

Looking to book only one breakfast for our trip and are limited to only the resorts that are near MK.

WL
CR
POLY
GF

Which restaurant is your favorite (an must have Mickey waffles!) Any restaurant, preferably non-character (as they are easier on the budget).

Thanks!

I agree. I'm a sucker for Tonga Toast.

We love the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare in the GF, but Kona Cafe and Chef Mickey's are also good choices.

You know the breakfast food is pretty much all the same, sure some have their little signature dishes, like the "dreaded" tonga toast, no I am not a fan! We really base the decision on what kind of localle/theme we want to experience!

GF, the dining room is beautiful and the eggs Benedict are good, as is the rest of the menu, not fantastic but good!

POLY, I just love the resort, and the pressed pot of Kona coffee, alone is enough to get me there and the food is good too!

Not a fan of buffets, I hate cold/tepid food, especially mass produced eggs!

Kona at Poly is, IMO, the best of the bunch, especially since you don't want character meals.

For the record, I'd rank the character meals below Kona, and in this order: Ohana, 1900PF, Chef Mickey's.

I've never been to Whispering Canyon over at WL so I can't include an opinion on that one.

Our favorite is Ohana, followed by Chef Mickeys. We don't care for 1900 PF and haven't eaten at any of the non character restaurants (WCC, Kona, The Wave, or Grand Floridian Cafe) for breakfast.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far! We are staying at WL and would even consider Fort Wilderness. I did make an ADR for the Wilderness Canyon Cafe just because that's where we were but will also consider other options.

Kona Cafe at Poly because of Tonga Toast and Macadamia Nut Waffles. If you've got a partner for breakfast, order one of each, cut them in half, and split them between the two of you.

The Wave at the Contemporary has a great breakfast buffet. The cheese grits are awesome. (And I say that as a Northerner who never had them before.) The sweet potato mini pancakes with the pecan butter are great and unique to the Wave (I think). If you don't want a buffet, you can order off the menu, too. Probably the most flexible breakfast options I've seen.

Neither of them are character breakfasts.

I agree with several of these posts!! We love Kona. My DH would eat there several times just so that he could get The Somoan as often as he could. I think my choice would be The Wave for the sweet potato pancakes. They are amazing!! I like the Grand Floridian Cafe also. I don't think you could go wrong with any of them.

Just wanted to say that you could probably eat at The Wave or Grand Floridian Cafe without a reservation. Every time we have been there there haven't been many people there. You could always decide to add one of them while you are there and not have a problem getting a table.

My vote would be for Grand Floridian Cafe. We used to always do Kona for breakfast, but Tonga Toast has gotten old and ends up being far too rich for breakfast. Grand Floridian Cafe has always been relaxing, not too busy, and has simple, elegant food. Try the french toast.
