Will the Drydocks on the Magic and Wonder change their shows

Does anyone know if the shows will change for the Magic and Wonder after they go through their next drydocks? We have sailed the Magic, and want to make sure we sail the Wonder while they are still doing Toy Story.

With rumors the Wonder will have a drydock in the fall of 2014, if the shows change, I have to make sure we get on it before then.

Most likely, no. Shows need to run at least 5-6 years to pay back the investment in them. They don't change out that often.

IMO, you really won't be missing anything if you miss Toy Story.

I've seen Toy Story with casts that I really liked, and another where Sid screamed the whole time and I HATED it. Go figure.

My DS12 always likes it, though.

I would not book a cruise to see Toy Story. That show was a embarrassment to DCL entertainment. That is just my opinion.

That is surprising.... I have yet to see a disney show I didn't like. I even like Villians Tonight even though, it is not my favorite.

I have found that shows, like food, is very subjective. My daughter also wants to go on the Wonder because she is a HUGE Little Mermaid fan and wants to see the statue of Ariel and eat at Tritons.

My goal is to do a Grand Slam so I am just forced to go on the Wonder .

Also, right now, the Wonder and Magic are so much cheaper than the Dream and the Fantasy. I don't know if that is a factor of the ports they sail from not being PC, or if it is because they are older ships, but we loved the Magic.

I always love threads like this - because it's such a perfect example of how different things appeal to different folks.

Toy Story is the favorite of all the DCL shows for my kids. In fact, it's the one that they're most excited about - and will be a "not to miss" this next cruise for them.

I had high hopes for Villains Tonight - and while I liked it well enough, I thought it could have been so much more.

I've never seen a truly awful show on DCL (and I've seen plenty of truly awful shows in my life). Some better than others, yes, but none on the ships I'd say were truly awful.

I agree with you on Villians. I have seen it on the Dream and the Magic and really thought they could have done a lot more with it. Although, it was nice to see some of the lesser known characters in the show.

As far as bad shows, I think the worst I have seen was Royal's version of a fairytell show. I expected Disney quality but got neighborhood playhouse, in my opinion.

We have been on 2 Disney cruises and to the parks several times and I have yet to see a Disney show I didn't like.

I do wish they would allow us to take photos in the shows again. My memory is not the best, and prior to them banning photos during the shows, I would always use my pictures to help me remember what I liked about the shows. On the last cruise they didn't allow photos at all, and I struggle now to remember what I liked and disliked about the show.

DCL, if you are listening, please let us at least take photos without a flash!!! My favorite souvenier from any trip is my pictures, and I have a hole in my memory when I can't take some. I promise not to try to make any money off the pictures... besides, I am not that good of a photog; especially in low light.

No! No photos please! I don't know how many times my enjoyment of a show was compromised because of a lit camera screen in front of me. Banning flashes is helpful, but the theater is still filled with the lit back screens of those who take pictures without them. On our recent cruise they had the "No Photos" rule and it was wonderful!

I know that some people have cameras with a viewfinder that eliminated the back screen light issue, but it seems that banning all photos is the only way to completely eliminate the issue. Otherwise it becomes too complicated.

One needs to remember, with Toy Story the higher ups at Disney where trying to get Disneyland to replace Aladdin with Toy Story. The Disneyland people went on a cruise to see it. Toy Story is no longer replacing Aladdin.

The props of the giant toys are very well done, but as mentioned earlier, Syd continually screaming like a gurl (cuz the actor is one) is a bit much.
