Motivation Penpal

I'm 30 (omg, first time I've ever said/typed that!)

I need motivation and I thought having a buddy going through a new weight loss adventure would help.

Anyone newbie dieters/exerciser out there that would like to chat once or twice a week to check in and support

I know myself well enough to know I wouldn't be a good penpal! BUT have you thought about joining a WISH challenge? Everybody is super nice and you can post all the time or just lurk. A lot of people there also use my fitness pal dot com and spark people dot com to help keep them motivated.

Good luck on your venture! And you are still very young!

Hi! I "met" a very dear friend who lives all the way across the pond in Northern Ireland almost 3 years ago on this site and although we have never met in person we text everyday about everything! We started as Facebook friends and it went from there. We have seen eachother thru many ups and downs over the past couple years and I value her friendship as much as my close friends that I've known my whole life!

I think its a great idea to have someone outside of your real life you can chat with and if you think it will keep you motivated send me a pm and we can be "penpals". If you have fb that's a great way to start to.

Btw, I know where you are coming from turning 30 cause I will be 40 at the end of this month and I cant believe where the time has gone! Seems like just yesterday I was totally freaked about turning 30

I had thought about it, I looked over a few and wasn't really sure I'd be able to keep up. I will look over the boards again though. Thanks for responding!

C'mon people 30 isn't so bad but 40 is making me twitch lol! Just kidding 30 was scary for me, I think worse then I feel right now about to be 40! I think it has to do with no longer being in your 20's and using that as an excuse for doing stupid things! Now I'm just comfortable with the fact I'm old and can now blame hormones for my stupidty!!

I think you're right! No more excuses! I'm fully in the adult category so I have to act it ALL the time and no excuses for those times I don't wanna!

I am 32 and have lost over 100 pounds. Two things...30 isn't so bad. My 30's are way better than my 20's. Also...this can be done! I am not really new at this, but I'd talk to anyone who needs it! I have a blog and a Facebook page for it. I love helping people!

thats a great question, I can't figure it out either! I will try adding you guys once I know how.

I thought it was just me because I am social net working stupid.
