14 days, it was the DCL Med Cruise I just came back from. I don't like to go away for that long because I have to board my dogs, besides the bill, they aren't crated at home and they have to be in a confined area so I feel bad and try not to go away for more than a week although this year i have 2 2 week trips planned.

When we lived in the Middle East, the kids and I would coome to the USA for 6-8 weeks. A lot of that time we would stay with family.

Last summer we drove to The Black Hills and Yellowstone. That was a 15 day trip.

Most of our vacations are 2 weeks long (14-16 days).

I think the longest we took as an entire family was 20 days: a night at WDW, a transatlantic cruise and then a few nights in Barcelona before flying home.

The kids and I are going to the US for 33 days this summer (DD will actually be gone 40), but DH is only meeting us there for the last 9. We will be visiting with family in two states and also taking a trip to visit a university DD16 is interested in.

The longest we have been away was for two months and that's when we spent the summer in Baltimore, but my husband was up there working. It was a fun vacation for me and the kids though! We would see and do things during the week that was close by and then on the weekends we would visit historical places all around the surrounding states and in DC. It was very interesting and my son still talks about how much he loved it.

As for regular vacations I would say 12 days was the max we have been gone and that was to Disney. It also includes travel time to and from.

Three weeks ~ last year we went to Isla Mujeres in March for our honeymoon and a few years ago we toured the Hawaiian Islands for 22 days. My preference is 10 days twice a year with a few long weekends thrown in for good measure. Next up is in October, one week at Universal followed by four days in New Orleans.

My longest vacation was 32 days. In 2010 I spent a week in Barcelona, then I boarded the Disney Magic for a 14 day transatlantic cruise. When we arrived in Florida I spent a week at WDW. When I got home to California I took a few days off just to prepare myself for heading back to work.

3wks by Train To Newfoundland, Canada from Ontario, Canada. DM(65) Ds(4) & me!

However, our luggage went to WESTERN Canada. We rec'd luggage at the end of our vacation. This could have been worse, but we were visiting relatives; Mom borrowed clothes from a sister, I from a cousin, Ds from many cousins sons.

As a family of 5 in Canada who faces high airfare prices we tend to vacation on the longer side.

We have spent 18 days in California - Disney, universal, lego land, sea world, beaches etc

We have spent 26 days in Florida - Disney, universal, discovery cove, sea world, Daytona 500, nfl game, Busch gardens, Daytona beach, with a few days at Clearwater beach

Most recently over Christmas and New Years we spent 18 days in Grand Cayman - it was heaven on earth

We also do all inclusives to Mexico etc for 10 days as we find 7 days to short with a travel day each way it really only leaves 5 days.

Guess we are vacation hogs

14 days, when I went to Italy. It was cheaper to stay longer than go back so we extended our week long cycling trip through Tuscany to another week so we could also see Venice, Florence, and Rome.

17 nights! We did the EBPC in 2008, which was 15 nights. We flew into LA 2 days ahead of time to visit one of our DS's and spend a day at DL!

Our next vacation is going to be for 16 nights. We are driving to WDW staying a week, then cruising DCL a week, then driving home. I am looking forward to everything but the car drive! LOL...
